I would have been here sooner, but the bus kept stopping for other people to get on it. - Sheldon Cooper, The Big Bang Theory
She might have been from Roller - I'll check over there...
Ann Jensen
pml, if she really is that rich, $157K is a ridiculously low sum - plus he has to pay his own court costs.

I did not recognize the name. Usually I hardly ever get to say this anymore "but this was before my time" lol.
I am my mother's "heavy luggage porter" Somehow I don't think she's going to think that's worth a lot of cash LOL!
Not sure what "world class" is supposed to mean, but she never medalled at Canadian Nationals - http://skatecanada.ca/LinkClick.aspx...language=en-US - assuming Valerie is the name she competed under.

Cougars have always existed. You go pool boy. Get your money honey!
The pictures of her latest facelift are priceless. They made my day.

Says she was raised in Britain, maybe she skated there?
Aw, ok, missed that part. Too bad the British fed doesn't seem to have archives on their site.
no way is she any kind of skating royalty.
According to this article,The two finally split a year ago when she threw him out of her home. Still, he left with a $606,000 settlement from a share of the Yacht Rd. property she'd given him. After the breakup, a depressed Walker gambled away about $100,000.

I sent an email to the paper asking if they could provide more information about her skating career. Will share, of course, if they respond.
I get a Jack and Karen vibe from all of this.
I put this on my facebook page and someone responded that they think it's Valerie Hunt. She skated pairs with Peter Burrows. British Pair Champs in 1961 and 1962.
In my spare time, I like to interview figure skating legends.
1961 Worlds was cancelled; Hunt/Burrows placed 11th at 1962 Worlds: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1962_Wo...ionships#Pairs
ETA: They were 7th at 1961 Europeans: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1961_Eu...ionships#Pairs
