I just looked back at the 2011 protocols, and it looks like the points aren't cumulative -- i.e., placement points awarded for each program -- and the SP/SD points are placeholders until after the FS/FD. Then points are re-distributed based on total competition scores per discipline. For example, last year, Chan didn't earn 22 points, 11 for 2nd in the SP and 11 for 2nd in the FS: he earned 11 points for placing 2nd overall.

For W/P to place higher than C/B, they'll have to make up over 4 points in the FD. C/B look pretty sharp and well-prepared.

ETA: After looking at the Ladies FS results, I'm really glad I didn't have any money -- real or virtual -- on this.

No Japanese team in pairs @ #WTT2013 . Couldn't Team Japan just get Mao & Daisuke to skate around at the same time instead?
    I'd watch that!
