Ashley Wagner and Meagan Duhamel @mhjd_85 were jousting on Twitter this morning!

Rest of Team Canada on Twitter:
Eric Radford @Rad85E tweeted about 2 hours ago: "At the airport! Off to Japan for World Team Trophy!!!"
Kaetlyn Osmond @kaetlyn_23 tweeted about 1 hour ago: "Stuck in a traffic jam. Hopefully still gonna catch my flight..."
    Patrick Chan @Pchiddy
    @WeaverPoje
(Kevin Reynolds and Gabrielle Daleman are not on Twitter, AFAIK. ETA - see fan's post below: @gabby_daleman )

Looks like the Twitter hash tag of choice is #WTT13

Still, I'd much rather see synchro in the Olympics than the team event. I like WTT because it is a fluff event that seems fun for the skaters, and it is far enough away from Worlds that I'm eager to see the programs again. But the team event is going to be the exact same programs skaters will do in a day or two. To me, that adds no excitement at all. I tolerate it a bit more in gymnastics because their routines are so much shorter (though skaters worried about giving their all and then messing up their individual medal chance might want to chat with McKayla Moroney...). I just don't have the attention span to sit through the same long programs twice in a matter of a few days.
Omg not me syncro is as interesting as curling!

Your welcome to your own opinion, but have you watched it recently? Because synchro is a lot different than it used to be.
These teams are made up of GOOD skaters. It isn't a bunch of marching anymore.

dardar- shocked Max tweeted. Though I do know he reads them. He's favorited a few of my tweets.

My own opinion is that synchro is much more fun to do than to watch (I used to do it and had a blast). As a viewer, it doesn't interest me at all.

Leaving to Tokyo today for the World Team Trophy. It's going to be interesting to take part in the event for the 1st time!
Just curious, how is he participating in the WTT?

Denis Ten must be skating in the Gala Exhibition.

    From the WTT Announcement:
Maximum 4 Skaters/Couples who are nominated by the organizing Member (JSF) can skate in the Exhibition in addition to those Japanese Single Skaters/Pair Skating couple/Ice Dance couple from the JSF team who qualified to skate in the Exhibition.
Japanese Skaters/Couples not part of the JSF team having competed in the ISU World Team Trophy will neither receive expense reimbursement nor appearance fees.
In addition, the team from Japan plus one selected team might be asked to choreograph a team-exhibition.

I think that he maybe has been invited to the exhibition as the guest skater by ISU because he was the second place following to Patrick Chan in Men single in 2013 Worlds.

In the event in 2009, the player/couple below were invited by ISU.
    Stephane Lambiel
    Akiko Suzuki
    Sinead Kerr /John Kerr
    Aliona Savchenko / Robin Szolkowy

In the event in 2012, the player/couple below were invited by ISU.
    Miki Ando
    Aliona Savchenko / Robin Szolkowy

Great for Dennis -- I'm sure the money will come in very handy. (I am surprised his federation even has money for his training at this level -- or is this being funded by his family?) It would be cool to see him as Olympic champion.

Why are you surprised? Kazakhstan has got crap loads of money from oil. It has a capital which has received tons of development and re-development in recent years which now looks like some kind of futuristic dystopia.

It's a dictatorship with very big ambitions (just like Azerbeijan) and my guess is that they would fund athletes that can get them recognised on the international level.
