Hello guys! I'm a V/M fan and just recently signed up here on FSU. I don't think I'll be able to post much, but I just wanna say how wonderful you all are and I enjoy all the discussions on this board. I'm also feeling positive about V/M and Worlds. They can do it!

Canada is the only nation I can think of that would put out a promotional video for an international competition it's hosting and show none of its own skaters actually skating . C/L, V/T, Wagner and Fernadez were all highlighted but not one Canadian skater was even shown (skating at least)

Yes, that was my take on the vid as well. Scott, Tessa, and Patrick are the host speaking and welcoming the international skaters to their home. Seems appropriate to me. Ending was a little abrupt but the message is clear enough, Canadian figure skating stars welcoming the international figure skating stars.

Yes. Canada respect everyone just like other countries. They must be so happy to be home and warm since they spend most life to train in USA facilities

Me too! And it really hit me how much I'll miss them once they retire next year, love them! Was Vancouver the city they showed that was by the water? It was really pretty.

ITA, although I do miss her brown hair. She also has a lovely daughter who I believe will be turning 10 this year.

vmfan82, regarding your observations of Tessa's trait and her intense gaze, I believe in their book, Jennifer Swan said that Tessa was the kind of child who stared an adult straight in the eye when she spoke to them. So it's pretty cool that you picked that up! I think this aspect of her personality (and Scott too) plays a role in their connection. When they're on the ice, they look so in the moment that we're drawn in, and we sometimes feel like we're intruding on a private moment. It also probably helped with the injuries because not everyone would just be able to focus on one thing and block out pain like that.

I was able to positively identify the location of the following scenes below from the video. Not certain about the "exact" location of the others, although some are obviously from somewhere in Saskatchewan (prairies scene), The Rockies (mountain peaks), and the Pacific or Atlantic coast (lighthouse). I suspect this scene is somewhere in Montreal, but I can't confirm.
