Who would you have awarded victory to in Yesterdays Men's competition - Patrick Chan or Denis Ten?

D10. But Patrick wasn't the only one with inflated scores overall. IMO Denis received clean+Lori Nichol bonus in his PCS.

B/S for the podium or P/B?

No just needs to be reworked. And on that note...

What if a fall automatically reduces one base score for PCS. (ex: 3 falls means the highest person can earn in PCS is a 7?)
-Bah! terrible idea! I am aghast
    -sounds reasonable--but isn't a whole point a little much?
-brilliant idea! siouxdonym for prez prez!

I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, like BreakfastClub, I want to see a scoring mechanism that would restore some of the suspense and momentum in accumulated jumps that's been lost since the beginning of the IJS; also, I do have trouble with such outcomes as Chan finishing ahead of Ten overall. On the other, docking PCS for reasons having nothing to do with their respective criteria smacks of vandalism.

In other words, it's worth a try.

I am 84% satisfied with the results, so the ladies' event gets a college B/high school C+ from me.

    highlights for f_d:

    Kim's free skate
Mao's free skate and return to the podium
    Li's breakout free skate
Popova's solid performances (I like consistent skaters.)
    Osmond's short program

    disappointments:

Suzuki's flawed short and very flawed free skate
Tuktamysheva's disastrous short, from which she didn't quite recover
    Mao's short program
Kostner's short program and fall on the salchow in the FS
the lack of exciting Leonova makeup and costume voids
Turkkila's 31st-place short program (Good luck at Nebelhorn, Kiira!)

Yuna's free skate to Les Miserables today or to Gershwin at Olympics?

I need to watch Les Mis again but I SLIGHTLY prefer it as well.

    Worlds voidz
that Israeli kids "Party Sailor" program
    Carolina's leaky nasal cavities
    Misha Ge post skate theatrics
Max Aaron rubbing himself up against the barriers
The seven or eight spin splats
herds of awkward old Canadians dressed in red, sitting together in the audience (so distracting. )

SP. The LP isn't one I'll rewatch many times, and I'm not just saying that because, well, you know.

It's not a decision I would've made, but I'm not sure it was really a mistake.
