Already? He's not even back on the ice til Monday. Shouldn't it have been TBA until he proves he is fit?

Why no 3rd alternate for dance? Lack of minimum score?

    Thanks!

I'm especially curious to see whose going to be named for the ladies and men to 4CCs.

I know skaters switch partners all the time, but this is fast.

I'd like to see Wang on the Jr.Worlds team. She was skipped over last year for Lam.

I'd like Hicks, Wang, Edmunds. But they'd probably give it to Cesario before Edmunds...which is ok too.

Based on Natls results, the Jr Worlds team will likely be Hicks, Siraj and Cesario.

Absolutely premature. After 4CCs Scimeca/Knierim should just keep training.

Don't they assign the spot when they grant a medical bye, which has a monitoring condition by default?

I bet they pass over Siraj for Wang or Miller. Hicks might get 4CC in which case Wang and Miller could both go, or one of them and Siraj. But last year they sent Lam over Wang despite Wang beating Lam at Nationals, and Lam didn't score as high at her JGPs or place as well at the JGPF as Miller and Wang did so yeah, I tend to think one or both of them would get the nod.

WISH they'd send Cesario to 4CC but it won't happen...I really think she deserved to be 4th or 5th here honestly...

Thanks for posting this. I wonder if Davis/Ladwig will be assigned to a competition somewhere, otherwise their 3rd alternate status is basically nullified by their lack of a min score for Worlds. I'm so glad Z/B will have a chance at 4CC, and also that score should help them get a GP event. I'd love to see Kayne/O'Shea with a Skate America spot, which will be should be more feasible now that the top 6 will have SB scores. Would Brubaker and theoretical partner #4 get spots as comeback skaters?

I'm kind of surprised to see the committee throw their hands up in regard to the 3rd alternate spot for junior worlds. What's wrong with Zaitsev/Stevens, for example?

Well at least Alexa Scimeca/Chris Knierim got 4CC. Im my opinion D/C should sit out the rest of the season. What is he trying to prove?

Ashley, Gracie & Agnes should be named to 4Cs. Gracie needs the further senior-intl-judges exposure and Ashley is the defending champ -- and champ above Mao Asada, at that.

For Jr Worlds, definitely Hannah Miller, whose performance was most enjoyable for me last night, from every perspective -- joie de vivre, technique, lightness, musicality, etc. I'd send Hannah, Courtney and Angela to Jr Worlds.
Ashley Wagner - America's Champion and PRIDE. How sweet it is!

Zaitsev/Stevens didn't get the required SP score in their JGP. Same story with De la Mora/Wilson. I went back and checked and Oltmanns/Santillian actually achieved the scores last season so I'm not sure they weren't named third alternate.

Ah that makes sense, thanks Stephanie. I suppose the committee figured it would be unfair to name O/S after finishing so far down at Nationals and doesn't want to spend the $ to send out DLM/W or Z/S another time just for a 3rd alternate spot to get the min score. Funny enough they did name Davis/Ladwig though, but senior worlds is more important so maybe they do have something in mind for them to get the min score...

Senior Ladies age-eligible for 2013 Junior Worlds (besides Gold, Zawadzki & Gao who were on the Sr. GP), in order of final placement at Nationals:
    4th - Hicks (1 JGP silver, 1 4th; 6th at 2011 Jr. Worlds)
6th - Siraj (did not compete internationally this season)
8th - Cesario (1 JGP bronze; she ages out next season)
9th - Wang (1 JGP gold, 1 JGP bronze, 4th at JGP Final)
10th - Miller (3 JGP silvers, including at the Final)
    11th & 12th - Cain, Baga (both finished 5th in their 1 JGP)

The Junior Ladies champ is not guaranteed a spot at Junior Worlds but has been sent the last three seasons. However, despite good summer competitions Edmunds was not sent out on the JGP and does not have a minimum score. She'd have to be sent somewhere to get the minimum and then sent to Junior Worlds so I think she's going to get passed by.

Theoretically Gao could be sent to Junior Worlds and Miller did win a silver medal at the Final so the selection committee has a tough decision on their hands. I think Cesario has a good shot because she's aging out and needs the scores and ranking points if she wants a GP assignment next season.
