Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I read this exact same article almost 20 years ago, except the Canadian skater's name was Jennifer Robinson. It has to be the same writer, and he just inserted Kaetlyn's name instead of JSlo's.
I think the key word in this article's title is "may". As in: it's within the realm of possibility, but I wouldn't bet money on it this year at least.
But it's really not going to happen now that Sugar has posted about it. Sugar, please don't make any predictions about where Osmond will place at Worlds![]()

I would like the link that predicted that Jennifer friggin' Robinson would win the Olympics.
It is like deja vu. Similar article after 2010 Canadian Nationals : "Joannie Rochette Emerges as Contender for Olympic Gold"

Few years ago, didn't Korean media warn Yuna that Rachael, Caroline, Mirai, and Russian babies can be a threat to her and predict there will be the intense rivalry between them?![]()
isnt chosun more like a tabloid website in Korea ? lol
Korean media must have been basing their conclusion on Osmond's Nationals scores (201.34, 70.04+131.30) rather than her last international score (176.45, 60.56+115.89). Kim scored 201.36 (72.02+129.34) at NRW.
The Korean media obviously isn't aware that Nationals scores are highly inflated and aren't a reliable predictor of international results.
No, it was the word MAY. It was "Miss Robinson recently won her first national title, and she may need some more seasoning before she challenges for the top spot in her sport..." This was after Birmingham 1995. You can look for the link.
However, nothing beats the local rag that had the headline "Amber Corwin Aims for National Title". ROTFFLMAO!!! I mean, yeah, support your local skaters, but Amber frickin Corwin?
I think I should start a poll: Who would have been a better Olympic champion, Amber Corwin or Tonia Kwiatkowski? Let's start from there. LOL. Discuss.

Yeah, when did JSlo EVER challenge for the top spot in her sport? Um, never? I particularly liked her attention to detail, so that she'd slow down to a snail's pace even just in her crossovers. I liked her wonky lutz technique and the way she'd only do her jumps so long as she is a few millimeters from the wall. Yeah, she really was a contender for the World/Oly top spot.
