A lot of people have used what I consider my test -- whether I stop to watch it on TV even if I have seen it dozens of time. For that reason, my list definitely tends toward comedy and action/fantasy genre.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
Sense and Sensibility (I don't know why, because it is unlike the others, but I have to stop and watch it when it's on)

Well, most of these are just our favorites, not great films...
That Thing You Do!--Tom Hanks wrote and Directed this gem about a young pop band
The Committments-- same plot as the above, but set in Ireland. Most gratuitous use of the F word I've ever seen!
The Rocker--Rainn Wilson and Emma Stone's little gem. Another film about a band finding success
Galaxy Quest--Great cast and a great premise. We pretty much have the film's dialogue memorised
Band of Brothers mini-series--Best War series ever produced, bar none
Blades of Glory--I know people have mixed feelings about this film. It was worth it just for the scene of the Iron Lotus in N. Korea
Pride and Prejudice (2005)--Joe Wright's beautiful take on the classic story. Beautifully directed and filmed
Noises Off--just a truly funny film. We go see the play anytime it's in production
Miss Pettigrew Lives for the Day--Frances McDormand and Amy Adams were fantastic in this small film.
American Dreamer--A cute, fun film that is surprisingly not well known.
So hard to limit this to 10!
The Sound of Music
The King's Speech
The Shawshank Redemption
Fantasia (especially the original)
Apollo 13
Mr. Holland's Opus
The American President
The 3 Caballeros
The King & I
