At this moment, in the mood I'm in right now, those ten movies would be (in no particular order):

- A Fish Called Wanda
- Some Kind Of Wonderful (or just about any of the teen movies John Hughes wrote or directed)
- The Matrix
- Animal House
- Amadeus
- Dr. Zhivago
- Anna Karenina (starring Great Garbo -- the others don't compare)
- The Green Mile (if I'm scrolling through the channels and this pops up, I always wind up watching it)
- National Lampoon's Vacation (the original one -- the "sequels" (with the exception of Christmas Vacation) are cringeworthy )
- Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

**Honorable mentions: Steel Magnolias, Raiders of the Lost Ark, A Christmas Story, This Is Spinal Tap!, The Godfather (I or II, doesn't matter), Contact (with Jodie Foster), Silence of the Lambs, Titanic, The Exorcist, Airplane!, Platoon, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Philadelphia Story, Driving Miss Daisy, Miracle (the story of the 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team), Real Genius, Fried Green Tomatoes, Best In Show, Freaky Friday (the Jodie Foster version), Stand By Me, Jaws....

I've realized that if I just ignore Gwynnie, that's an awesome movie with fun dialogue and so many great actors clearly having fun.

And I love Hairspray, too. It makes me happy.
