Oh her dress is beautiful and fits her like a glove. Congratulations to the Kween and I'm also thrilled to see Dick there and looking so happy. I wish he was still commentating, but I guess I can't have everything.
Lady 2: there isn't anything about me on goooogle, I mean, I must take it off if there is.....
Lady 3: The google is a terrible thing, I mean I don't want anything on there! (Overheard by millyskate on a London train.)
I haven't read that article, so thanks!
Wang would have her try on gowns at costume fittings “just for size, for a visual on what’s happening for a spring or fall look,” the skater recalls. “She’d say, ‘This shape would look great on you, try this on!’ But I’d say, ‘Vera, I’m really excited to be getting married one day, but I don’t need to try on a wedding dress and if you’re not engaged, it’s supposed to be bad luck, right?’ But she was like, ‘Eh!’”Reminds me of my over-enthusiastic shopaholic aunt!
It's a mixture of feelings because from following skating for years, perhaps for many of us it seems like Dick, Michelle, Dorothy, Peggy, et al, are members of our own family. Michelle's wedding marks a passage for all of us. And it's wonderful to see Dick B who is figure skating personified, happily enjoying this festive and heartwarming occasion for the Kween. Skating memories and personal memories are combined in my heart today. I don't know why I love Michelle so much ... I just do. She inspires love.![]()
Thanks for the updated article link! Another great view of Michelle and Clay leaving the church. Too bad the writer keeps getting the name of the street that the church is on wrong... It's Benevolent, not Benefit. But surely both Michelle and Clay (as well as their friends, family and all those they touch and inspire) will benevolently benefit from their happy union. And the reception is at The Hope Club. The symbolism and synchronicity never ends.

Michelle looks gorgeous, not that I'd expect her to look anything but...
Both she & Clay look great. I'm so happy for both of them.

Aww, she looks so happy. And that dress is gorgeous, too.
They grow up so fast
Michelle looks very pretty. I like the dress too.
I want to know which skaters are on the guest list !
That story is adorable.

Damn. Now, I'll have to buy a copy of People magazine. I never buy People magazine.
Your program sucks and your partner just fell: lay down and play dead or think Feck this and do a Th3A at the end of the program: Aliona Savchenko: Definition of a competitor
Phil Hersh's tweets:
Michelle Kwan had a tear on her cheek as she came down the aisle before ceremony
When they reached the altar, the pastor said, "Michelle, you look amazing. Clay, you look okay
Michelle and Clay got a head start on "you may kiss the bride.". They misinterpreted a cue and did it first time before the ring ceremony
Later, pastor Kurt Vickman said, "you may kiss the bride a second time.". So he did

^^ So it looks like the People article got it wrong when it said that Peter O was there (as Phil tweeted that Peter O is in Omaha preparing his skaters for Nationals) ... but his wife Karen and flower-girl daughters of course were at the ceremony.![]()
