Lazaro may have behaved as though he were "entitled to sympathy"/making excuses.
That attitude doesn't make friends of your fellow competitors.

Kree may have slept with all four judges. And Ryan. Those actions make for favourable reviews.
It's official. I am madly in love with Meryl Davis.

The reason why I used the qualifier is that we are not witnesses to what actually happens,

Peter, I'd be careful about saying such things - even in jest.
    Someone might believe them.

What a lovely group of people this year!

This makes me just like them all better. At least they are showing some personality off the stage (since I'm pretty bored with a lot of them on stage).

I realize that but my point is that there are plenty of past Idol contestants who are forgotten the moment they leave the show. It was just really rude and uppity of her. I have news for her, anyway, she has been the least recognizable of all the contestants and people constantly asked who she was until last week. Maybe she heard that and is lashing out about it.

"rude & uppity"? Strange wording. Re Michael's tweet back, he wasn't offended. "I wore a $7 Old Navy tee on Idolotry that made me look like YoGabbaGabba's Brobee. Amber's allowed to throw shade back."

I was a little surprised Michael criticized her outfits since a) he dresses in the same plaid shirt on every show, and b) he constantly stresses that this is supposed to be a talent show. As for her being unrecognizable, Michael obviously knows who she is. As does everyone who watches the show.

I agree that "uppity" was not the right word to use. However, I think Amber's tweet about Slezak showed a thin skin, lack of professionalism, poor time management, and a personality that is not going to be appealing to a lot of the AI audience and folks in the industry. It was a stupid thing to tweet.

I think that Amber may be buying the hype from the judges and Jimmy, but the public clearly isn't. She has ended up in the bottom two or three multiple times. Judges' hype doesn't translate into fame and success. Just ask Pia Toscano. And it's never a good sign when a female contestant is known more for her legs than her singing.

Well, I'm not missing anything tonight. There is not one song on there I'm interested in hearing.

I have to admit that I'm curious how she'll change the arrangement. I don't think singing it as is will work for Candice's style.

FINALLY somebody does an uptempo song...and we get complaints? Considering all the mopey ballads we'll have to w a i t through tonight, I'm happy somebody is doing something with a tempo. Plus a good singer can add to songs with simpler melodies, which not only showcases range, but originality. This could be better than Love Song!

I'll go out on a limb and predict she doesn't do it uptempo...

So what, if she did the Hokey Pokey would you be happy because it isn't a ballad? That song was sung by Paula Abdul, for goodness sake, it is clearly not a song to show off ones vocals. Maybe she will do some crazy different arrangement but I don't want her singing an uptempo song for the sake of doing an uptempo song. Many uptempo songs can still show off someone's voice. Straight Up doesn't do anything for anyone's voice in any way. You know what, if she DOES re-arrange the song I will bet you she does it as a ballad...lol

I'm guessing -- and hoping -- that Peter was joking and being sarcastic:

I hope Angie's last song is just her at the piano with no other backing track or accompaniment...that would have amazing potential.
