I know a lot of us dislike it but I wonder if anyone has skated to Miles Davis' rendition of Concierto de Aranjuez? His version has a coolness to it that makes it bearable.

hey! don't get me wrong...i wanted to say this is so North-American style.. and yes similar. And I admire them. If anybody doesn't know who is the skater, when sees him will know, oh, he is from North-America in that minute!
Like the off ice dancers, for example, do you understand?

There was a thread I've started in summer, you can find some more nice jazzy programs there:

Isabelle & Paul Duchesnay, 1994 Gala: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8qXFGWIc_Q , Jazz version of Bach's "Air" (although I'm not sure if someone who's really into Jazz would call it Jazz).
I think I do - you're saying that they all have similar North American "flair". There's an aspect of their skating that allows you to identify their skating as being North American (with which I'd agree, btw), just like you could recognize that a skater is from Russia (or has been trained in Russia) because of specific aspects of their skating, am I correct?
It's just that the way you said it, it sounded as if you were saying their skating was the same but I think I get what you meant now
Thanks for clarifying![]()
