Yay Boston!!!!! I was there this year (a week after the bombing) and I feel extra happy that the city now has something to be glad about.
I was "watching" the game (with the MLB text updates) on my cellphone on the bus home, and just about fell off my seat when the text came up about the 3 runs scored in the 3rd inning.

Who wants to watch rich people eat pizza? They must have loved that in Bangladesh. - Randy Newman on the 2014 Oscars broadcast
This Jays fan is so happy for Boston players, fans and the city in general. Still at John Farrell (yes, I probably should be over it by now but I'm not )
No, it's cool. I hate Shane Victorino. What a dirty player.
Some of the other Sox seem pretty cool, though. I just wish their beards had been a bit more.....kempt.
My goodness!! From perpetual losers to 3 times champions in this century. That's more than the Yankees in the same time span. Who'd a thunk that would ever happen....

This Jays fan was rooting for the Cardinals because I still cannot stand JF and his smug mug.
Crazy about sports!
Prince Fielder to the Rangers for Ian Kinsler.
The Tigers got the better end of that deal, for sure.
Dan Petry, a pitcher on our 1984 World Series team, was interviewed this morning. He said one of the problems Fielder/Tigers faced stems from what he said at the end of this year coupled with his post-season RBI-less performance. He said that next year, if Fielder couldn't perform very well he would be sure to be constantly booed (see what happened with Inge) and that would be bad for the whole team. He also talked about freeing up money - plus there's advantages in getting him out of the infield to open up a place for other players.
I never thought he was all that. There's sentimental value in having him due to his father, but he always struck me as being overly arrogant.
As for your Giants, they overpaid for Tim Hudson, but he's certainly a class act.
We overpaid Lincecum, Pence and Lopez as well, so it's just keeping with tradition.
I really wanted to see a McCann vs. Puig showdown, but alas, it will not happen now.
I would just have to throw myself off a cliff if that happened.
Brian Wilson spoke with the Tigers today.

I don't think you'd do well there. It looks something like this. I doubt even Brian Wilson is worth living in a place that looks like that!
(The only time I ever go down there is if we blow a fuse and hubby isn't around and I absolutely have to have whatever circuit blew. 99% of the time I can figure out a way to work around things until he's around to go down there instead.)
