who in the Bay Area doesn't love Timmy?

although Matt Cain pitcher and Buster Posey catcher - I'd pay to see that

The ending to last night's game was crazy, but I think the call was right. The umpire signaled the obstruction right away, so it wasn't like it was some sort of afterthought.

Weird way to end the game, though.

Also, I'm not sure what it would take, but umpires need to stop awarding Victorino first base when he gets plunked because he's out over the middle of the plate.

ITA w/you PL. While it was a strange way to end a WS game, it was the right call and made the right way re the timing of it.

Over at the RoyaltyMB I belong to, there were some that were going on and on and on about Kate's brother's beard in the Christening pictures and finally someone posted, "You want to see out of control messy beards that actually are out of control messy beards? Check these out!!" The link took you straight to pictures of the Red Sox boys and their Beards...LOL!!

WOW!! What a pick off that was!! Talk about a difference in the ending of a game...Just Wow,,

It was a sucky way to end a WS game. But ... you've got to make that throw to 3rd! Seriously, some of those Red Sox throws are taken right out of my son's little league games.

And Fox's WS coverage sucks! First, it seems they almost missed Uehara's throw to first to end the game - all we saw was the out being made at 1st, without seeing Uehara's actual throw. Second, why do the weekend games need to be on so late? I understand that weekday games need to be aired at night, but couldn't they air at least one of the weekend games just a couple of hours earlier? These games have been so exciting, it is a shame that kids like my son can't watch past the 3rd inning or so.
    Creating drama!

I don't have a horse in the race so just want to see it go 7 games.

I'm trying to make myself prefer the Red Sox because the Cardinals won more recently and also the infield fly, but the stupid beards are making it very difficult. I'm mostly hoping it'll end quickly, preferably on a balk-off or something equally bizarre.

Why yes, there is the Arizona Fall League, the Dominican and Venezuelan winter leagues, etc.

Obviously you put your voodoo doll away after Boston beat your beloved Tigers. But you still need to be using it, if you don't mind.
I meant to take the high road.... but I missed the exit.

Finally, some exciting baseball news: Cleveland's AA affiliate has a new name. They are now... the Akron RubberDucks.

    I approve

Congrats to RA Dickey on being the First Toronto Blue Jays pitcher to win a fielding Gold Glove!!

Got to take the happy w/my Jays when I can get it at the moment.

Looking like the Season will be done tonight if the Cards don't do something big very soon.

I wore red socks to work today. With a black skirt. . Yep, I dressed to catch attention so I could explain to some of my fashion conscious Floridan colleagues who were not even aware that the world series was going on.

On a side note, when I moved from NJ to Miami earlier this year I thought I would finally be free of those pesky Yankee fans. Well, wrong! My office alone has 3 people who moved from NY/NJ area.

Only 3? Miami for decades has been called the southermost borough.

NJL (....now, for some reason, people say it is actually a SOUTH American city....I wonder why?.......)

Congratulations to the Red Sox! (makes the Orioles' winning record against them this season even more special ) Seriously...glad that Boston has something to celebrate! Looking forward to being there for Nats in a few months.
