Hey you guys - Don't know if this has been posted but Jamie Silverstein opened a yoga studio down the street from where I live-next to a teashop I like.

I liked her bio page -- she sounds very happy. Nice to see.
Some of the FSUers who went to Skate America in Kent were thinking about going to take a class with her, but the scheduling didn't work out.
I would have been here sooner, but the bus kept stopping for other people to get on it. - Sheldon Cooper, The Big Bang Theory
Wheee! I will have to take her class next time I am in DC!

I went to a few classes there when they first opened (not just taught by Jamie). It's heated yoga, and the emphasis is more on the fitness aspect of yoga than the mind/body connection. Very friendly, nice space.
Q: Why can't I read the competition threads?
A: Competition forums on the board are available to those with a Season Pass or a premium membership How to View Kiss & Cry
WOW - sounds like a fabulous place. Good for her.
DH - and that's just my opinion
I really like Grinning Yogi. I live on Capitol Hill, and it's pretty conveniently located. I've gone there maybe 5 times now, and I've had Jamie as a teacher maybe 3 of those times. I like her as a teacher, she's really friendly and is obviously having lots of fun. I like the studio because it's heated but not too hot. I think like 85-ish degrees? Enough to work up a sweat, but nothing like Bikram. They have a nice lunch-hour quickie session for $5.
