Update from Blackie's owner: BLACKY IS DOING MUCH BETTER
Hello Everyone..... Just an update on our little stud BLacky... He is back to the weight he was the day he was stolen and he is eating up a storm... He has eaten 33 Jars of Baby food... Every 3-4 hours he lets us know its time to eat... Even in the middle of the night.... (its like having a baby again....and my youngest is 8....) He is much more active and he is getting spunk and into a little trouble (but who can be mad at this little guy)... He Really wants to invite all of you to the event on Friday night.... THis is a celebration party of getting him back and since all of you are responsible he wants you to be there.... It will be a great night..... blacky asked us to send xooxoxoxoxo to everyone...be sure to share this like you did to help us get him back...... Thanks Rt 4

The store posted a photo on its Facebook page from the day of the arrest, the poor puppy whose name is Blackie was kept in a small dirty crate with a pitt bull, thankfully the pitt bull did not hurt the puppy. Update from vet: Blackie is still lethargic but expected to make full recovery.

I've met pitts, they're awesome dogs. Not all of them are evil beasts, some love a good couch and belly rub. Poor pitt probably wasn't taken care of either.

I can understand that someone might steal a puppy to make some money, especially if a person is desperate for cash.

But to steal a puppy to abuse it? Sick.

So glad Blackie has been found and is on the mend. Presumably he has found a home?

Pit bulls are some of the most absolutely loveable dogs in the world. They have enormous strength and even more enormous hearts. They need to be cared for by loving humans who fully understand their needs and characteristics. Most of all, they need to be loved in order for their huge hearts to thrive, to be nurtured and revealed.

If they are mistreated and maligned as evil beasts, their hearts die, but they should never be mistaken for the "evil beast" humans who abuse them.
