She did not get her release from the Russian Fed. Someone posted on the French forum that it looks like the partnership is over.

The article says that Florent Amodio will skate a new SP that is inspired by last year's Brazilian LP. He built it quickly with his French coach Bernard Glesser. They called it a program in transition (whatever that means? Is Morozov preparing a new one or will they keep that one and improve it?)

Joubert has the Flu and won't skate this week-end!!!!!!

Maé : 3T-3T a bit rough on the landing, 3F ok, 2A ok.
Anaïs : everything is level 4
    Laurine : 3Lz-2T, 3F and 2A !
    Leanelle : 3T-3T, 3F, 2A
Lena : 3Lz-2T rough on the Lutz, 3F, and only 1A grrrr

    James /Cipres have really improved.
Too bad for the fall on the th3Lp for Popova/Massot, it seemed it would be ok and then... fall in the protection already installed for the shot track.

Wow, sounds remarkably well skated for a French ladies event, especially considering Silete being out.

Did she ever fully recover from that scary fall at the University Games a few year ago? It would be nice if she started competing again, at any rate.
Thank you and kirkbiggestfan for the pbp's and impressions

during Warsaw Cup, a few weeks ago in November, she was far from top form, to put it mildly... I'm not surprised she's not at the nationals...

I think these nationals may have been her last competition... but I would have hoped she had appeared ! It's quite sad to leave that way, barely noticed... I would have loved to see her skate one more time, knowing it would be the last time :-/
maybe she could show up at the club championships later in the year ?

^I agree this would be a sad way to end her career, if it turns out this way. She was just starting to hit her stride in 2010-2011 and it is unfortunate she never got back to that level. I guess I'm not taking this very well since that awkward fall and ensuing ligament damage happened around the same time I had my own knee surgery, so I was always hoping she'd be back. Not to mention, she had another freak fall at the 2009 Worlds, but bounced back from that, so I was ready to believe she's the skating bionic woman. Sad to be proven wrong :

    Absolute Skating Comment:
""French Nationals Flash" Short dance of Sarah ROBERT-SIFAOUI/Olexandr LIUBCHENKO was interrupted by referee after a problem with their music. It took them about 5 minutes to find a new CD and to restart the program from the beginning. The public was very supportive regards the sportsmen."

Higher PCS for Papadakis-Cizeron than Carron-Jones. You can tell right away who's going to Sochi next year! The TES is low (How in the hell do you mark a junior program with senior criterias? zeros for the polka I guess..am curious to see the protocols and comments from people at the rink)

Looks like James-Cipres were tired and there was a fall on the triple twist and they had a problem with the sbs 3T.

Just read on Absolute Skating that Anais Ventard WON! She beat Mae Berenice
I remember I saw Anais at the Youth Olympics in Innsbruck last season and thought she was absolutely brilliant in terms of choreography, spins and SS but lacking on jumps. She must have improved A LOT since then in order to score 100.55! I loved her, can't wait to see videos. Does this mean she is going to Euros?

    1) Anais VENTARD 100.55 in FP/154.04 total
    2) Mae Berenice MEITE 99.29 in FP/153.48 total
    3) Laurine LECAVELIER 93.21 in FP/145.20 total

Ventard did not do the harder triples tonight (She landed 3Lz last year at Nationals and the 3F is still a work in progress)....I doubt they send her to Euros..Junior World maybe. There is always so much drama in the selection process that anything is possible.
