No Alessandrini/Vaturi in the results entry list? I know they're US-based, but I wouldn't have thought they'd be given permission to skip Italian Nats.

Simone broke his scaphoid bone (it's at the base of the thumb), so they won't be at nationals. I guess they won't be able to qualify for the European Championships as well.

Ugh. I love their SD this year and was looking forward to seeing it again.

It also looked like there was going to ba an interesting battle for silver, but now it's pretty straightforward.

I met them today (Simone cut his beard, wheeeeeeee) and they said that their goal is the World Championships.
I also watched the last group of junior ladies and the pairs with Ondrej, and he was SO cute cheering for the pair he sometimes trains.
Unfortunately Eleonora and I were going to cover the event for Artonice, but we have been denied press passes because we are not professional journalists (uhm...what?). We will anyway interview Italian athletes, but we won't give detailed articles about the competition.
Well, it means that we'll have more time to cheer for our favourite skaters
If anyone has a question for a skater, please post it here, any idea or question is welcome.

Uhm I think that's all for today. Do we need a thread for the voids? Nothing interesting happened today, except when Ondrej came in the stands, every single girl hold her breath XD ame thing happened in the rink bar when Zimmerman entered. I was sitting at a table with a friend of mine, and she was almost swooning. John was behind us, so i turned and started to play a bit with Sofia, his little daughter, and to talk with John asking him how old was she, etc etc. My friend later thanked me because she got to see John from up close for a good amount of time. XD

The mens short just ended, so the ladies short should begin soon, I hope?

edit: It is. Kostner's group on the ice now!

Kostner just skated. Scaled back the 3/3 to a 3/2, but the program was hauntingly beautiful.
