I wonder if we'll get any special guest skaters in London this year. Happy for those who are!

    Virtue/Moir's blog posted on April 8: http://starsonice.com/?content=blog&id=5011
It’s always both exciting and challenging choosing music for show programs. This year, it didn’t take us long to figure out what songs we wanted to use. After practicing our free dance of Carmen all season long, we just weren’t ready to say goodbye to the program yet. So, we’ve made a few slight modifications and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to perform it 12 more times. Additionally, we both fell in love with Rihanna’s song Stay featuring Mikky Ekko, so we’ve choreographed a new number to that piece with Marina Zoueva and Jen Swan. Now, we’re most anxious to get to Halifax and learn the fabulous group numbers!

Article about Patrick Chan and his SOI tour debut in Halifax this Friday (I didn't think it was necessary to create a separate thread for this): http://thechronicleherald.ca/artslif...-olympic-glory
Mannish Boy, choreographed by long-time collaborator David Wilson to the Muddy Waters tune, “made me get comfortable moving my body in different ways,” says the 22-year-old skater. “Instead of moving it lyrically, I moved it more aggressively, more sexy, kind of rock and roll, really rough and raw.”

I Need A Dollar by Aloe Blacc, choreographed by Christopher Dean, is the story of a man begging for a dollar. It uses a hat as a prop.

“Christopher Dean is amazing, so knowledgeable, so experienced, really a genius. He taught me so many cool hat tricks that are in the program,” says Chan in a phone interview before hopping a plane for the World Team Trophy competition in Tokyo, where Canada finished second.

“It’s a lot harder because props have a mind of their own. But I’m excited to do it on Stars.”

I'm impressed Patrick's going in a different direction. Will be interesting to see the new programs! Anyone else going to the Halifax show?

Wow, several group number changes from the US/Japan version! How did they manage that? I should definitely wait for the broadcast version, since I cannot go to Canada this year.
