All of the one ice tickets for Vancouver (Rogers Arena) are gone. Something called "Plaza Level" seating is listed as "limited." now gone, too.
IIRC, not all of the seats are available in the pre-sale. So those seats might not necessarily be gone; it's likely they won't be on sale until Friday.

I always thought the point of pre-sale was to always have an advantage, but that's not the case if you want the special seats. Having had a skater land in my lap once, I avoid those seats like the plague.

Well, it depends on which skater.

Buttle and Browning are incomparable. Nobody currently competing comes close.

Just looking for tickets to the Vancouver show, Ticketmaster is offering a Stars on Ice Fan Club Premier Membership for $49.99 (I'm assuming that's per person)....I've never done this before, actually I've noticed it....it says you get a meet & greet an an exclusive gift at the show. Just wondering if anyone has done this before? Is it worth it? Is it just a handshake at the side of the ice or a more formal meeting? What's the gift? Any other benefits? Any info would be appreciated

I did this last year in Toronto. It was fun. We got in early, got to watch the skaters warm up (no contact though), then we were taken to an area where we met the skaters (Cynthia and Joannie). They were seated at a table and you could get a photo with them and an autograph. The gift was a picture frame with a SOI logo. Mine went to Value Village pretty quick It was fun to do and we managed to have a few words with the skaters but couldn't really linger. We had a group of about 20 and it didn't last long. It's fun to do once if you haven't met a skater. I don't plan to do it again though. Been there, done that.

I am holding off buying a ticket to SOI Victoria. Last year there was a last minute Groupon for $25. It was in the nosebleed section but I was able to move down at intermission. Hoping that happens again this year.

BTW, I saw SOI 2012 on TV recently. The mens' number with the spotlights was even better up close. And Andrew Poje in a tank top is eye candy of the first degree.

From Steve Milton of the Hamilton Spectator:
#StarsonIce has 30 per cent increase over last year in sales this week for Canadian Tour. Related to strong cast and #Worlds2014

Stars on Ice offering discount to CAA (Canadian Auto Association) members of 25% off tickets - nice perk to offset the taxes, handling fees etc.
Check on the SOI website under tickets.

For Ottawa, use code 290 under capitaltickets.ca - SOI webpage. Only available for on-line purchases.

Guess that's what happens when the sport gets some good television coverage of worlds and the events are not broadcast at Midnight everynight. Glad to see that the skaters are getting the recognition they deserve!

Now why isn't this a surprise.

I was driving home from work today thinking, given her talent for performing, she would be a perfect participant for CSOI.

I have tickets to the Vancouver show on May 10 -- Section 106, Row 3. My usual date isn't available. If someone out there wants the second one, PM me. No cost to you - tickets are from my boss as part of my Xmas present.
