Does it really smell like ginger?

It's a combination of ginger and citrus, so it has the sweet spiciness of ginger but more bright.

I object to smelling like food. A little bit of vanilla is admissable, but generally fruit smells make me dizzy. Someone gave me Escada once, the beachy version in the red-to-blue bottle, and the fruity smell was overwhelming. Away it went.

I went to CVS and they were having a buy 1 get 1 50% off Revlon sale, so I got Lip Butters in Fig Jam and Sugar Plum. I like them both!

Also, I wore green eyeshadow with a good helping of black eyeliner and coworker approves. Looks like I have an eye makeup look for the wedding! Even my boss noticed my eyes look different. It's insanely formal on me, so I will definitely be saving the green for more formal events...

Makeup is fun. Enjoy yourself, Anita.

And sometimes it is a lifesaver. My eyes are so puffy from allergies today, and with some artful hypoallergenic eyeshadow and light mascara I managed to look more or less normal for a date. Minus the eyemakeup I look like I've been crying, so thank you Almay and Lancome, very much.

I love smelling like food, specifically dessert. But my go-to scent is not just foodie although it has plenty of vanilla and licorice. I don't generally like fruity/floral but Nectarine Blossom/Honey has a good helping of gourmand plus an irresistible green note that make me .

I just got back from the Galleria with my Origins Ginger. Unfortunately Sephora was on the way, and I stopped in for a rollerball of Stella Mc Cartney and also got eyebrowed. Sephora truly is the wickedest place on the planet.

    It really is.

My latest find there was Tarte 12 hour Amazonian clay blush in Charisma. It does stay for 12 hours looking freshly applied. They don't carry Charisma in stores anymore but have it online or at the Tarte website. They have plenty of color choices for pretty much any skin tone but be warned, it's very pigmented and requires a bit of blending. I love it.

I kicked around the idea of applying to Sephora part time, but figured out that my job takes at least 45 hour per week as it is, and I will likely need to put in another five soon. Too bad, because it would be heaven just hanging out there all day.

What's the point of working at Sephora? You'd be leaving most of your salary there anyway. I guess the employee discount makes it a bit better.

I told my husband the other day that if I ever lose my job (Fed gov't job...so it's possible) I'm going to go to work at Sephora until I find something else because at least I will get to do something that I LOVE for a change.

I think the people at Sephora get commission, so you could likely do well there. Probably turn around and put all your money back in their register, though. I wonder if they get the samples that don't get given out?

This! How fun it would be though, unless I'm burdened with a sales minimum.

I wanted to post this great video here as I remember someone was asking about foundations for pale skin awhile back.

    http://www.lisaeldridge.com/video/22...ery-pale-skin/

I just purchased one of the foundations mentioned 'Healthy Mix' by Bourgeois in shade 51 as well as the matching concealer.

    I love them both.

Also, she mentions Face Atelier having a white foundation that you can mix with your own that you may have already purchased to lighten them up.

Face Atelier has samples for $1 each (enough for 3 uses) that you can order online to try before you invest in a purchase.

They do this for their powders, highlighters, and facade (liquid blush/lip tint) as well.

I ordered samples of the white foundation as well as the lightest colour (porcelain) and the highlighters and powders.

Can't wait for it to arrive and try it out.

    Wheeee!

I'm trying Neutrogena's Rapid Wrinkle Repair and Maybelline's BB cream. I've done the wrinkle repair serum for a week, twice a day--and nothin'. The BB cream doesn't seem to be brightening my face at all, either. I still have red blotches in some spots (foundation just isn't for me; no matter what formula or how moisturized my skin is, it shows flakes on my chin and nose!). Bah!

It was me that asked about it and I actually ended up with the L'oreal one she suggests
