Voted for Plushenko, Gachinski, and Menshov, although Gachinski has been skating so poorly it could be Voronov instead of him.
Plushenko - of course, can he make it 10 National titles? What a feat! - Menshov, and Gachinski. Gachinski spent most of last season's GP melting down too and still came good at Nationals.
Plushy had an operation in Dortmund ? not sure if he can compete by nationals then
so I'd pick Menshov, Kovtun and Petrov. Gachinski is bombing too much this season
Plushenko of course, Menshov, Voronov.
Gachinski... I don't know how he skates at Nationals. There is a possibility that he can be back in good shape by then. I don't know![]()
Plushenko, Menshov and Gachinski. But Gachinski will go to Worlds afterwards, not Menshov, the Russian Federation will explain it by that Menshov is not that young anymore.
Is Artur Dmitriev Jr still competing? He was supposed to skate at a level B competition this season - Nebelhorn perhaps? - but he never showed up.![]()
Dmitriev withdrew from the Cup of China (supposed to be his GP debut), but he skated in the Russian Cup V competition in Moscow last week and placed 2nd to Alexander Petrov.

Besides Plushenko, I'm really not sure who else so I'm doing my best impression of ... guessing![]()
Crazy about sports!
Oh I do remember now that Dmitriev Jr was to make his GP debut this season. Hadn't been aware of Russian Cup V though. Thanks, Sylvia.![]()
