She is probably using this competition as well as Italian Nationals a week after Golden Spin as a preparation for Euros. She comfirmed that she will be at both events on her Facebook Page as well as her official website.

Yuna Kim just won NRW Trophy and easily made the Worlds TES requirements, does that mean she will not attend Golden Spin?
Also, Valentina Marchei is not on the list anymore, does anyone know why she pulled out?

I don't think Yuna will come here since she did accomplish her goals. Because I was secretly hoping for Yuna and Carolina duel, so, it is a little let down. BUT, now it's Carolina's time! I think NRW and Golden Spin are becoming way more interesting than GPF

Valentina also pulled out from NRW trophy a few days earlier the event started. I'm curious to know what's going on, too. Maybe her condition is not so good?

They will get to duel at Worlds the latest
I can't wait to see Carolina's programs now, no matter what shape she is currently in, I just want to see two new artistic gems (hopefully)!

Valentina posted on her Facebook that her next competition will be Italian Nationals which is just one week after Golden Spin. I don't think it's anything serious, she might just have wanted to spend some time at home, maybe?

I hope Kim does compete. After 2 years out, what she needs to do is get as many competitions under her belt as she can to get herself ready for Worlds. I think that if she were to compete at the Golden Spin, Nationals, 4CC, and the Challenge Cup, that would be ideal preparation for Worlds. However, if her only competition before Worlds is Nationals, then she is vulnerable to the same kind of result as 2011 Worlds where she lost out to Miki Ando

^ I think one more competition than she planned would be also great but that is a long shot. She rarely changes what she had planed or promised earlier.

At the end of the transmission of GP, Franca Bianconi told she will be at a competition i Sofia (should be 1st Denkova – Staviski Cup). I think she didn't like to meet Carolina one week before Nationals

Interesting thought, and it might be true?

Will anyone from FSU be at Golden Spin and provide us with reports? That would be

really crazy, it doesn't make sense, they have not so many god skaters. The same would appeal for Russia, if they send Plushenko, but I doubt he would achieve it.

Is somebody there who will do some vid of Carolina?
