Derek really does have Shawn convinced that not doing a traditional dance is useless, doesn't he? Like you can't be creative AND follow the rules at the same time? It doesn't sound daring, it sounds like a big FU to the judges. (Now, there are times I wouldn't mind saying that to them, but there's a difference between a free spirit and being conceited.)

I hate the attitude that it is all for the audience. I prefer an actual quickstep. Like I said last time. It was a fun number, but it wasn't what the dance called for them to do.

Oy. Well, already used up all my votes for Melissa and Tony. Her samba wasn't REALLY a 30, but still. Shawn already has a mirror ball (and all three couples looked a little tired.)

Okay, I don't know if it's bad audio, sucky singers, or what, but this is the WORST rendition of this song ever. Also, that was a TERRIBLE lift. I have done better skating lifts and I'm an adult ice dancer.
