I went to the other skating links of the poster and was able to go back in time. I personally loved B&K's OD & FD that year. B&K struggled in their later years with OD's but '93-'95 and then again in 2003, their OD's were amazing.

I disagree that Krylova's expression was forced and that her carriage/movement was unnatural. I always found her so convincing in everything she did.

Many thought their Carmen was ridiculous, but I always thought she really lived it. They portrayed the insanity in the story so well. Even if it wasn't as technically challenging as G/P's FD, I thought artistically it was just as sublime if not more so. It's still my favourite Carmen program to date.

There's something special about Carmen, or at least something special about Carmen when skated by great ice dance teams. I love B&B, K&O and V&M's interpretations and all for different reasons. When push comes to shove, I still think Natalia B. is the quintessential Carmen. But I also love K&O and V&M's more modern interpretations. I don't think Anjelika's Carmen was ridiculous at all, in fact I think it was the greatest FD of their career.

ETA: Oh, I also love N&K's Carmen as well, it's just not in the same league as the other three Carmens, IMO.

Masquerade Waltz is my all time favourite program of Krylova & Ovsiannikov. It was just amazing.

To be fair their Carmen was deliberately different, focusing on the love story between Carmen and Toreador. It doesn't have the high drama factor which many FSUers prefer. I agree though, I found it a little paint by numbers.... it wasn't bad, and it was the best FD that season, but not as good as other classic FDs.

Krylova had over the top presentation if you were sitting in the front row but if you were sitting in nose bleed seats... I am sure she skated to them too which means she skated to everyone in the audience. I only ever thought her over the top for Carmen ironically. There FD from 1996 to Russian folk was bit up there too but they had so many amazing programs.

That 'Still Got the Blues' program is X infinity. What can I say, Anjelika is absolutely stunning. Yeah, she's smoking hot and everything, but more than that she's an incredible natural dancer. I love K&O together, but Anjelika would have also made an exceptional solo ice dancer as well.

About her "over the top" facial expressions, yeah, in a few programs it gets a bit much, but in other programs, such as the Still Got the Blues ex, I think her facial expressions really enhance the piece and mood of the music. This might be a pretty obvious point, but what looks like over the top emoting from the perspective of watching a routine on T.V., might look very differently seeing the same program performed live.

I love the choreography in Carmen, and I actually really noticed Oleg in this routine as well. I love the leap at the beginning of the program, and the running sequence around the 1:05 mark.

About Weaver/Poje :she said she was really proud with them and happy about their improvement and always gets emotional when her skaters are competing.When the journalist asked her what language she spoke during the competition(video was showing Anjelica watching her pupils and encouraging them) she answered that she speaks Russian and that Kaitlyn understands her because she likes the language and wants to learn.
About coaching in Detroit area and their relationship with Shpilband and Zueva : She said that they are friends and celebrate together birthdays,visiting each other or spending time on Igor's beautiful yacht .She said that admires both of them , always can learn something new and tryes to analyze their methods and the reason for their success.
About her personal and professional partnership with Pasquale Camerlengo; she explained that they knew each other briefly from the time they were competing as rivals,later he invited her to play the main role in one of his spectacles??? and after few years they got married.She likes working with him and proud with his success as choreographer not only for ice dance teams but single skaters as well.One of those skaters was Alena Leonova, whose performance she enjoyed very much, and that she likes when individual skaters are showing emotions not just doing jumps and elements.

Pechalat/Bourzat weren't discussed but she spoke with warmth and love about all of her students .The journalist also asked her about her opinion on Russian Ice dance teams.She answered that she liked both teams( B/S and I/K). She thinks that Elena and Nikita are very beautiful couple but still lack experience and need time to mature.She always pays attention to Russians teams and cares about them,misses Russia and is glad to be back in Moscow again .

I didn't really like Krilova&Ovsianikov, due to her over-expressions and the fact that she was better than him.
But the positive thing if they have stayed is that FP&M would have never been World champions !

The interview is from 2011 Worlds, when Pechalat & Bourzat were still with Zhulin. They moved to Krylova shortly after that.

I think Fedorov skated some time with Anna Semenovich and then worked in USA.

As for Ovsiannikov - he worked in Russian FS Federation and was the head of synchro figure skating. I think before he had finanicial problems in USA.
I think now his wife is coaching in Russia, but i not sure.

The last time I saw Ovsiannikov, he was with his wife (I think she's coaching in Germany) and their daughter in Bratislava with Kubova/Kiselev (who were training in Brno in the Czech republic). He was coaching them also last year and they looked very promissing, making world team and finishing 11th at qualification, first to not pass the cut by 0,4 at their first senior season. Maybe my impression was wrong, but I was really angry on him in Bratislava. K/K scored quitte bad, lost lots of levels, had bad PCS and didn't look to be in the best shape, but he looked like he doesn't care at all, sitting on the stands, looking happy. I thought he should be a little more concerned, considering his team had problems....but well, maybe it was only my impression.
