It's in Beantown too so that figure skating essential should be sorted.

    But will there be shuttles?

From the venue's website (for those unfamiliar with Boston): http://www.tdgarden.com/getting-here/

Thrilled for Boston being chosen. If I do not have work at the time, I'll be there, but that is a big IF.
Great city. Lots to see if one needs a break, great food, great transportation, great culture, great history. I love Boston and am so happy skaters from all over the world would be able to see it.

Does anyone remember what a typical Worlds schedule is, like for US Nats I am not planning on getting there until Thursday afternoon because I think that is the first event, so on what day does Worlds start, is it Wednesday, oh, and I don't think I want to go to qualifying rounds if they still have them, so what day does Worlds start final rounds?

There are no more qualifying rounds (reason why minimum TES scores were implemented). For reference, this was the 2013 Worlds event schedule in (fake) London:

    Wednesday, March 13, 2013, 11:40 – Pairs Short Program
    Wednesday, March 13, 2013, 15:45 – Opening on Ice
    Wednesday, March 13, 2013, 16:40 – Men Short Program
    Thursday, March 14, 2013, 10:40 – Ladies Short Program
Thursday, March 14, 2013, 17:20 – Ice Dance Short Dance
    Friday, March 15, 2013, 11:55 – Pairs Free Program & Victory Ceremony
    Friday, March 15, 2013, 17:45 – Men Free Program & Victory Ceremony
Saturday, March 16, 2013, 14:30 – Ice Dance Free Dance & Victory Ceremony
    Saturday, March 16, 2013, 19:00 – Ladies Free Program & Victory Ceremony
The Exhibition Gala will complete the week of competition on Sunday at 14:00 at the Budweiser Gardens.

If there are no unexpected interference (with 2.5 years away who knows), I will definitely go.

As soon as my summer vacation is done, I will start saving my change for this! I just rolled up and deposited my change that I had under my bed in a biscuit tin, and then threw it out as it was all bent. I need a new biscuit tin!!

If Google is right (and when are they ever wrong?), end of March is Easter weekend. That means I can leave Friday instead of Saturday. If their schedule is similar to London's, then I can have four whole days of exploring the city (I'll bypass the practice sessions) and can leave Sunday (I'll bypass the gala). And I only have to take four days off from work. Fantastic!

The only disappointing thing is on Easter Sunday, everything is closed. I was shocked when I went to Seattle on one Easter Sunday and nothing was open. Oh well, there's always Chinatown (I'm assuming Boston has one).

A small Chinatown, not far from the Boston Common and Public Garden.
