So. You people. Voting Javier in as #1 when he's got many years to take the title...and Robin and Fabian only have a year or so to still be illegible to win. Honestly. You need to put some thought into how you vote. Democracy is important!!!

I just voted for all three. As long as Szolkowy gets it this year or next, I'm happy.

I voted for them Plus Scott... though I am in lust with Fabian.

How was this list of candidates compiled? Donahue and Wolfe seem kind of random choices.

Can I write in Andrew Speroff?

why is Javier leading? yeah he's worthy but he just seems too young for the title, I'm all for Szolkowy or Bourzat! Javier's time will come.

Out of the list, I voted for Robin. But I'd be perfectly happy with Javier, Fabian, Scott or Nikita as well.

    Why is this in GSD?

I voted for Robin and Fabian, and I fully agree with PeterG and DimaToe that they must win before they retire, while the younger guys can wait their turn. And really, speaking of Robin: does anyone seriously want to argue against this?

PeterG, I agree! Javier is a dish, but he is still so young. I guess he also is the type which just gets better with the age, like Lambiel.

I did the semifinal polls in the trash can. These were the top 6 in each of those.

Good to see Robin back in the lead. Robin 2013, Fabian 2014!

Was it always a rule that they had to still be competing? I remember Staviyski vs Sikharulidze occurring after B&S retired. (Anton was ROBBED).

And what about Daisuke and Scott? They are going to retire after Sochi too, although they are a bit younger. I had forgotten that I could vote for several men, so I voted just for Daisuke.

I wouldn't vote for either of them in PSOTY regardless of retirement date, I just don't find them all that attractive (esp. Scott). So looking at the skaters who I think should win at one point or another, Robin and Fabian are the least likely to continue post-Sochi.

I do feel that Dai needs to have a special award in recognition of his outstanding hair over the years.

How did the candidates get nominated to be in Poll 1 and 2? Or was it just a subjective list of candidates nominated by haribobo?

ETA: Never mind. I did a search and found the answer.
