KVP on Belgiums Dancing with the Stars

I couldnt find this posted anywhere else (but apologies if it has!)
Here is a clip of Kevins first dance the ChaChaCha. Can anyone on here act as interpreter for the comments?

The first judge says she had high expectations, because she loved what Kevin did on the ice, but she is disappointed. He has to show more emotions and really feel the music, because right now he is like a robot. She thinks he played it safe and playing it safe doesn't get you the gold. The second judge doesn't agree and thinks that Kevin set the bar quite high with this choreo although the execution could have been better. The third judge says she can see that Kevin likes to compete and she is very positive about that.

That was - just not very good. Kevin's strength on the ice was always jumping, never movement.

Thanks for the link. I would be cool to see how he progresses (or not ) throughout the show.

He did at one time. I think he's going bald, which is not helping matters.

Yeah, and as adorable as he was, he never improved artistically.

Taking ballroom classes earlier in his career would have helped with his posture. He was a great jumper and was athletically gifted. It's a pity, because he could have had a much better career with the proper skating skills/dance training.

That was my first thought too... I wondered why the judge would think that he looked like a robot on the ice....

Am I hallucinating or was that Derek Hough sitting alongside other dancers and applauding for Kevin?

Thanks for the link! He started off worse, and got better as he went along - or at least he seemed to be having more fun. Hope he sticks around for some time on the show - I'd love to see how he does over the season.

What a tough audience! He was actually hotter in person than he was on the ice, and I don't get the problem with his hairline.

His upper body is stiff, but he was pretty light on his feet and wasn't loose and sloppy below the knees like most celebrity dancers are. I hope he stays in for a long time.

Ummm, I didn't see any score. Do we know how he did? Is he still competing? I am hoping he can do well just cause I still have a tender spot for him.

You're hallucinating. (But, yes, the guy on the end looked a bit like Derek.)

    Go Kevin!

I have seen a lot worse dancers on the American version. I was surprised he was able to dance so much on the ball of his foot instead of flat footed. Kristi Yamaguchi said that was the hardest thing for her to overcome since singles skaters don't really flex their feet much. I also like how he was enjoying himself. I am not a KVDP skating fan by any means but I think he did a decent job here.
