Thank you. I saw a news story on Noor Khan last night or this morning -- on CTV or CBC? She sounds like she was an amazingly strong woman.

If it was the same story I saw then it was on CTV National News last night. I had never heard of The Princess Spy before either, but she certainly was an amazing lady from everything we were told in that piece.
BTW, Noor translates to the word "light". I know that thanks to Queen Noor of Jordan. Anyway...When I heard the name of this amazing lady last night and how she tried to help bring about the end of the Nazi occupation of France, I had a case of the chills knowing the English meaning of her name.

Watching Anderson Cooper on CNN and just saw an ad for one of the 10 finalists for CNN's Heroes thing they do every year. Mary Cortani's been nominated for her work she'd done w/her Organization that helps Vets w/PTSD not only matched w/a Service Dog, but to also train them. To watch not only her profile, but also videos showcasing the work of her Organization and just what an Iraqi/Afghanistani Veteran suffering from PTSD goes through on what to us would be a simple run to the grocery store, just follow the link below...

The work she does is just incredible, and as she says in the pieces, this is the work she was meant to do and God bless her for it.

I saw that either last year or the year before Skate Talker. It's *really* good, but make sure you've got Kleenex when you watch it. You'll need em.

These hero stories are great, but we can't forget the ordinary soldiers who are our fathers, husbands, sons, uncles, etc, who fought & died in these wars. They are all heroes. My college roommate's father was part of the death march on Bataan. My own father was in WW2 & Korea. My cousin was killed in Viet Nam. I'm remembering them today.

Tonight's W5 was just promo'ed on the supper hour cast and they're going to be showing a story on how a Canadian program is pairing Afghanistan Vets w/their own Service Dogs to help them w/their battles w/PTSD. Not sure if this works outside of Canada, but posting the link in the hopes it does...
