Maybe reality hit her in the face finally.
actually, she just needs more time to work on her quad toe and triple axel.
I wasn't kidding you inane tart. Fumie for gold 2014!!!
Kevin Reynolds withdrew from BC Summer Skate, so he must be a has-been as well.
Which other skaters withdrew from a teeny August event that we can add to the all-washed-up list?
^Apparently whoever doesn't skate absolutely clean programs in AUGUST must all be washed up, i.e. Osmond, Sotnikova, Tutk, etc......so why should Fumie be excluded?

I simply do not understand her career at all at this point. Is she independently wealthy as to afford a life of following delusional dreams of grandeur in a manner similar to Zelda Fitzgerald? We know what happened to Zelda, dying in the insane asylum fire after being committed following multiple failed attempts to be a prima ballerina in her 30's.

I think she continues to skate because a Japanese company literally pays her to train, as it says in the article. There is a saying in baseball that we are all told when it is time to stop playing a child's game, some are told at 18 and some are told at 40. She has not been told yet.
Great interview with Fumie, thanks for sharing!
I would think the scores have been doing some telling
