MAO CHEER THREAD---starting on her 23rd BD <3

Since I couldn't find her cheer thread searching with several key words, I start this one. She struggled hard with her technical rework and her mother's passing away, and at last she's been coming up to her best. Presumably it could be her final season as a competitive skater. Let's cheer her together. Wishing this one will not be the battle field with the uber fans of the rival skaters. This is the CHEER thread.

    September 25 is Mao's 23rd birthday!!
Wishing all of the best for her.

Happy Birthday Mao! I can't believe she is 23 already. I hope she has lots of success, and more important, true happiness.

Yes, she has had a tumultuous year. Happy birthday, Mao. Let us hope you can keep your mother within you and that you are happy with where you are and that it translates into your skating.
And those are my last best wishes for her skating in this Olympic year.

Mao has her official site. And this is from there.

    http://maimao-asada.com/mao/private/2013/09/26/574/
    My bad translation into English

    It was my birthday♪♪♪

The same as last year, they celebrrrated my birthday at the rink.

Taka-chan provided the caaake! And he seemed that he put the 23 candles on it with Kana-chan

    Thank you.♡

    http://maimao-asada.com/blog_mao/wp-.../09/0926_1.jpg

    I got presents!

    http://maimao-asada.com/blog_mao/wp-.../09/0926_2.jpg

The tea cup is from Kana-chan and the belt is from Taka-chan.
    Cute!

    And...Japan Open is coming soon.
I'll do my best, setting a high value on every competition one by one, to show my ability!!!

Picking some vids up from those I posted above:

Translation from Japanese to English. Sorry my English is not good enough but hope it gives you the main idea of the vids.

Intervies 1 (What cheers give her)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlp8EUUdxx0
Interviewer=Mai Asada: What cheers mean to you, Ms.Asada ?
    Mao: Cheers...ummm...Cheers give me power.
Mai: Among those cheering massages can you tell me the most impressive ones?
Mao: Ummm....I've got plenty of cheering letters from my fans....among them....such as "Your performances made me happy even when the result was not good." ....or..."Until now and from now on I keep cheering Mao-chan through good times and bad times." I was so glad to get those messages.
Mai: At the competitions many people cheer you. What do you hear they cheer?
Mao: I can hear they clap their hands and cheer me up before I go out there and throughout my performances. They give me power.
    ETA:
Intervies 2 (Talking about the coming season)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGUAQS9WGKA
*It seems this interview was done in spring, since Mao says she has three months till the new season begins.

Mai Asada(=interviewer): The new season is coming. What's your feeling at this point ?
Mao: Now I have still three months till the new season begins. I'm feeling I can be IN the season even right now. The preparation is going faster comparing to the usual seasons, while I think I shouldn't be satisfied with my current condition. I want to keep aggressive...and progress further. The coming season is one of the most important ones...but.. I keep it in mind to work as usual.

That footwork is so intense! and I love the folded-arm spiral. A very well made vid too. The slashing of the ice conveys how ferociously she is working.

Preview TV program of Japan Open
Her 3A looks the best ever in this early stage of the season in these 4-5 years..
She did 2A-3T as well. You can't see it in this video but she nailed 3F-3Lo in the session.

This is the article I posted in the Japan Open thread in GSD(sorry in Japanese) You can read the practice report and an interview with Mao. If time allows, I'll translate it into English sometime later.

I don't watch ladies skating at all, but I can't help but have a soft spot for Mao after the hellacious last few years she's had. I'm really pulling for her this year. If she and Kostner skate well in Sochi I will be over the moon concerning that event.

Wow, thank you inskate. I've never been there so it's nice to know they have some people who can translate Japanese into English so that they can understand what Mao tells. I've been feeling sorry for her, since Mao is not a person who talks a lot so somehow people don't understand or misunderstand her thoughts. Having a translater is good for her and her fans. Thanx!
