I'd considered whipping up a cocktail. But then remembered that I had some red wine opened. Out here on the left coast, I'd hardly gotten home and fixed dinner, when the race was pretty much declared. So, not so much drinking for me. That'll be tonight, at my standing Wednesday night at Zig Zag (my watering hole of choice). I think I will celebrate with a Liberal:
1 1/2 oz rye or Bourbon
1/2 oz sweet vermouth
1/4 oz Amer Picon
1 dash orange bitters

Can someone please describe the type of "feel good" feeling you feel while drinking? I've tried drinking in the past, but all I got were big headaches.

I don't normally drink. So even one glass of something effects me. I guess I feel tension lift, I become giggly and silly. I never have more than 2 glasses of anything and almost always if I drink I just have one. And I slept the entire night (I've been waking too early with the time change).
