    What's your favorite comfort food?

All my coworkers stocking up for Sandy prompted a discussion about what is your favorite comfort food - the food that always makes you feel better. Pizza, chicken and ice cream were popular choices. What are your favorite comfort foods?

Hamburger and French fries with a Diet Coke. Homemade is best.
    or
Breakfast for dinner. Something about pancakes or French toast with bacon or sausage and eggs just gives me a pleased sigh of content.
Dessert...mint ice cream or custard French Vanilla ice cream. Mmmm nothing is quite as momentous are a perfect creme brulee. The kind where the custard is chilled but the sugar crackle is slightly warm. The feeling of thick cream and bits of caramelized sugar is divine.

Currently, a hot toddy on the night before Election day. Otherwise, any type of chocolate; the darker the better.

Home cooked roast lamb medium rare, home cooked roast chicken, home cooked prime rib roast, good take-away barbecue, barbecued baby back ribs. With beer and garlic mashed potatoes.

Cheesy tuna casserole hits the spot at other times, as do potato chips (Kettle New York Cheddar)
