I looked this up last week: In Ear Monitors -- to let him hear the band, which you can't otherwise hear when you're singing.

When Cody auditioned I thought he was kind of hokey but fun. But he's gotten better every time he's been on. I thought he was very good tonight. Dez was dreadful. Forgettable was Diega, Mackenzie, Adrianna, & Devon. I thought Sylvia was good but I haven't really warmed up to her. I love De'borah & Trevin but I didn't love their songs. Song choice of the night for me was Nickolas's My Everything. I still can't watch him but I would buy his CD.

Except I'll be crushed if skunkhawk isn't on Blake's team. Swap her for Liz or Julio and I'm happy. And there is going to be a change in how the finals are done and coaches aren't guaranteed team members. I knew I heard Carson say that.

Then I like Amanda, De'borah, Terry, and Sylvia.
