In March 31st, Hidehito Ito the Chair Person of Figure Skating of JSF clarified that former Worlds Champion Miki Ando, who is leaving from the competition for two seasons, is not contained in “the Kyoka Shitei Senshu” or “the certified athlete” in next season which greet the Sochi Olympics.
After having accomplished her second victory in 2011 Worlds, Ando rested in the next season. In this season, too, she canceled the participant to the Grand Prix series for reason of the lack of tuning for the absence of the coach and had declined “Tokubetsu Kyouka Senshu” or “the special certified athlete”, too.
Ito the chair person said, “She hasn’t skated for two years and we can’t certify her because she didn’t participate to the Japan Nationals”.
If she returns to competition, there is possibility to be added to the certified athlete on the season way.
As for the Japan Nationals in December, too, Ito showed the opinion to say that she must participate from the regional championship which combines a qualifying competition.
