I'm always amused when people spell "definitely" as "defiantly". I was reading one of my favorite blogs and the author was talking about starting a new page, and one of her regular commentators said "oh, I will DEFIANTLY follow that too!"
If you spell it "definately" the first word spellcheck burps up is "defiantly." Which is why I tell my students not to rely on spellcheck.

The word in portuguese is written with an 'h' (habilidade), and I always have to check.
This one is biggest nemesis, given that English is my second language, and spell check is my best friend.

I don't spell them wrong when writing, but when typing, send and sent often get mixed up. Most annoying to go back and see the mistake. Vacuum sometimes gets vaccum instead.

Texes. Hint: It's a state. Hemmerhoids. Not that I have to spell it often, but I need it for a blog entry about Courtney Love.

Believe it or not, my nemesis word is across. Always want to add an extra 'c'.

Accommodation always gives me problems as well.

Exercise. There have been occasions where I've stubbornly refused to autocorrect and I've typed out exercise in 7, 8 different permutations and still couldn't get it.

Yes. But it's not your fault since most people (media-types included) pronounce February as if that "r" is completely invisible.
