My daughter and her family are hunkered down in Cherry Hill, NJ which is just east of Philly. I think the storm veered further south than originally anticipated, but then this makes her in that deadly Northeast quadrant. I just talked to her and they still had power. My grandson who's 4 had to give me a breathless account of everything storm-related he had seen on TV. He didn't seem to be scared....just intrigued at big twucks lying on their sides and twaffic lites hanging sideways. I am not too worried, but yeah-I am a little. Lots of trees around them. One of them in the backyard had 3 trunks and one trunk has already broken off but it fell away from the house. She said there were 40 mph sustained winds with 70 mph bursts right now-the worst is yet to come.

Is anyone watching this huge crane dangling from a skyscraper in NYC? Yikes!! If that things falls...oh boy. This is at the very top of the highest residential building in all of NYC.

Still here
. Lost cable for a few minutes, but it's back. I have candles lit just in case. I can't imagine I'm going to have power forever.
