Thanks for the new thread Ioana! Looks like I'm joining your group Proustable and Cherub. I wasn't planning on it, but since I missed it, I'm not gonna watch the youtube video, I'll wait till Saturday. Kharis Ralph said on twitter that Tessa and Scott's program is brilliant--even other dancers are complimenting them!! I'm so excited!

V-M FD is... You know, i think they show sex on ice
This FD is so difficult. I love all lifts. I like how easy Tessa get in her postiton and for n=me they did lifts easy, then they did last season.
Step sequenses look amazing, There sakting skills - look like they didnt touch ice at all.
Cant wait to see SD.
Tessa said Marina want then Carmen 4 or 5 years. So i think its good they made this FD now, when they are older.

So i lack the will power for those who are waiting until Saturday. I was not happy about the Carmen choice at all....but what i just saw is WOW. Tessa surprised me, i think she can really pull this off and well Scott looks brilliant. I look at Scott as one of the best if not best male dancers ever, manly but elegant. CANT wait to see this on Saturday and those lifts are challenging but especially at the end like that. Now i want to see their SD! I really enjoyed D/W SD, interested to see how v/m SD compare, because from what i have seen of v/m FD i like better than D/W FD... so far anyway.

I'm not at all surprised about Tessa's interpretation of Carmen. She is Tessa Virtue after all.

Oh my. Sweet mother and child. A word of warning to my fellow fans from this side of the world (Asia). If you're coming off work from the graveyard shift, tired, barely able to keep your eyes open and your body screaming for sleep, DO NOT WATCH THE FD yet. Because sleep is the last thing you're gonna get. If you have enough energy for sex on the other hand, by all means go ahead. Some of the holds and positions, where did they get their inspiration Kama Sutra? Oh wait this is modern dance so 50 shades? Okay, I'll sleep now. Maybe later I'll be able to say something more with real substance.

Oh, thanks for the new thread Ioana, and for all those who gave their reassurances from the old thread helping some of us to keep our sanity. But really need to sleep, after one more replay... Gosh I bet they are having a field day in Tumbler now with all the GIFs. Later, later....

Steaminess aside, this is a SOUND program. Carmen is destructive lust and pure madness. You cannot hint at things with Carmen, you must do them. It is complex as hell and the movements just show you that. I know it is tough not to focus on the characters, but let's talk about the step sequences? So glorious. If they polish it well enough, we could have a classic. For now, I am very impressed and hope that they have a good skate tomorrow and Saturday. I feel they have a very good vehicle in that FD.

Finally a program which is choreographically worthy of V/M's talent and skills, I'd been waiting for it to come up ever since Umbrellas and Pink Floyd although I loved their Mahler and enjoyed their latin FD of two seasons ago. From what I've seen in their practice, I don't think they will need to tweak/rework any part of the program any later in the season, the choreo has plenty of transitions for Carmen to make the judges happy and did you notice any skating in place?
