Wink 2012 Grand Prix Ungeoblocked Online Viewing Options

The purpose of this thread is to gather the 2012 Grand Prix Series online, live viewing options that are available worldwide. This means that they are not geoblocked to a specific country. Please feel free to post such "open" viewing options here as well as advice on how to access geoblocked streams from outside of the originating country.

    RUSSIAN TV

Russian TV streaming services (for those residing outside of Russia, those inside Russia can just watch directly on TV) have been a source of live, online Grand Prix coverage for the last few seasons. To watch Russian TV you typically need a subscription to a Russian TV viewing service or if there is some luck, someone finds a free stream. The Russian TV station showing the Grand Prix this season is Спорт.

TVTeka is a popular Russian TV streaming service here on FSU. The cost is $12 US per month or $30 US for three months of service, payable via Visa, Mastercard or paypal. Service includes live streaming as well as on-demand viewing of previous broadcasts. FYI, In TVTeka, the Спорт station is listed as Спорт2. The entire site is in Russian, but you can use Google Translate services to help you navigate through the site. TVTeka also offers a free, 3 day trial, but you must sign up a day in advance before starting the trial.

I took a look at this site. The stream links for Skate America are obviously not up yet, but I successfully viewed another live event that was going on. I did not need to download a video player or anything, despite what the ads told me (I am on a Mac). It took a while for me to figure out how to hover over and turn off the ads (click on the very small "x") that appeared on top of the video stream.

Thank you. Tested it. I can watch other sports which are currently streaming so hopefully able to watch Skate America as well.

I recommend TVTeka. I've been using it for a while now and the quality is very good. You can later watch videos on demand. If things go wrong, they fix stuff soon and give compensation days as well.

I got that livestream working! I'm on a mac. It took me a while to figure it out, so feel free to PM me if you, too, are on a Mac and struggling with that.

I might buy TVTeka if this turns out to be a dud.

Am I the only one who do not see the link to see the live broadcast? http://livetv.ru/fr/eventinfo/139987_skate_america/
It says it will appear 30 minutes before the start of the competition, but it is still not here. THanks

So has anyone got that link to work to watch it? It says it's live, but when I click it it says "LiveStreams are currently not available for this broadcast."

Several of us are able to watch here - http://www.hahasport.com/v-4/6/46/v-464766.html Don't bother about the plug in. It's an add.

Yep. As soon as the Japanese skater was up, they went to news. I wonder if it was just coincidence.

At least the feed is working. Perhaps they'll go back to skating soon!

Thanks, they (hahasport) finally showed all the skates. One skater left the others in the dust.

I'm afraid abbot's, verner's and brezina's time has passed them by.

Sorry, I don't mean to yell - I just want to get the point across.

The IceNetwork live stream is free to registered users all day Saturday but is geo-blocked for those outside the U.S. -- that's why the info is not included in this thread but it's in the other one: http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/show...ing-in-the-USA
