    Memorable Short Programs

I loved Plushenko's short at the 2006 Olympics. His technical elements were all so superb, even if the presentation wasnt extra special.

I loved Barna's short programs at the 1991 and 1992 Worlds. It was the same program and perfect for his skating and style, and received a perfect 6.0 for artistic impression both times and well deserved. A sharp contrast to his longs which were always boring and ponderous (not to mention technically deficient).

Caryn Kadavy - 1988 Olympic SP. Choregraphy by Burka (took her about 90 minutes to "throw it together") and costume by Toller.

This was a true CoP SP waaaaaaaay before CoP. Notice all the transitions and footwork into and out of jumps and spins, the features she put into the spins, etc. Superb.

Midori Ito, 91 Worlds. It was a very good SP for Ito, choreographically, and the falling into the camera pit after the jump combination cemented it as unforgettable. I wish she had re-use this SP for Albertville.

Yagudin's Race Car SP. That has to be my favorite SP of his.

Another I'd include is Michelle Kwan's Carmen SP at 1999 US Nationals. She used unusual cuts of the music and the choreography matched the nuances so well IMO. I never saw this program until a couple years ago but I really love it.

I remember that performance. Even my brother, who knows nothing about FS, was impressed with her.

I want to add to the list Irina's Totentanz SP. Was it in 2006 or 2005? I don't remember the year but I loved the power and speed in that program.

I love OSP's and OD's when they're well choreographed and skated.

Thanks for the dance list, G&P's Libertango is one of my all time favorite programs.

I would add to my list U&Z's 1991 Blues

While I don't think in ranks as one of the all time best, I have a soft spot for NavKos's 2004 OD as well.

    Alongside Jeff's 2005 World's SP, I would add his 2002 World's SP:

The Last Emperor's soundtrack is so gorgeous. Would love more skaters to use it.
