More crazies Don't forget to add me, I need something to waste the time I should be using to add adjectives and adverbs to create long and flowery sentences.

Only four and a quarter hours to go until NaNo 2012 starts! Good luck everyone!

I plan on sitting up until midnight and then trying to lay down a couple thousand words of intro in an hour or so before I lose it completely and go to sleep.

Phew. 1982 words in 45 minutes.

May I keep this up for the rest of November!

How'd everyone do on day 1? It's just after 11pm, I'm at 8011 words and throwing in the towel for the night and hoping that's enough to get me through tomorrow and the weekend when I may well be too buggered to write much.

    That's awesome!

Just finished my first 2000 words. Thinking about starting the story is always much more daunting than just taking a deep breath and digging in.

I wrote 8 typed pages. I figure I will need to average 6 a day to make 175 by Nov. 30. I didn't do a word count check. I don't find that motivating. I am finding just doing it easier than creating plot outlines or organizing chapters.

I signed up but it's 7:30 pm and I'm still at work. Maybe I could just copy and paste in the code I am writing...

I ended up writing over 1700+ words yesterday in spite of being at work until 8pm. I just wrote on my iPad while 'watching' tv with my dh. I have to work this weekend but I'm really inspired and will probably knock out quite a few pages over the next couple of days.

Do they have meet-ups in China? There's some kind of Nanowrimo meet-up in my town on Wed. I'm thinking about going.

    Good luck everyone!!

Now very glad I didn't sign up, and the first two days would have been a write-off (pun not intended), and now it's the weekend I'm too shattered to do anything.

Yep, quite a few groups in different regions/provinces of China. Beijing has people spread out quite a bit, but there'll be a few meet-ups, mostly on the weekends at The Bookworm. I'm at 9, 305 words, and considering going to Shanghai for the CoC gala tomorrow now!

This is why I wrote so many words on Day 1.

    Day 2 count: 0
    Day 3 count so far: 0 (it's nearly 5:30pm).

I've decided to write every day no matter what. Even though yesterday I also edited what I wrote the first day (as I was writing on an iPad so it was terser than normal). I've got 3447 words so, if I keep up at this rate, I'll be fine.

The interesting thing about writing every day is that I've already learned why it works. I hope I can apply this lessen to the rest of my life where I tend to procrastinate over big jobs that intimidate me.

It's only Day 3 here. You're confusing me! (Not that this is that hard to do what with Daylight Savings Time ending in a few hours.)

I'm at over 5000 words already and the most frustrating thing is that I can't write as fast as I can think of things to write about. I am kicking myself for not doing this years ago!

I'm at 7464 -- had to do some catching up because I missed Friday, but now I'm right on target. I'm amazed at how quickly I fell back into the story.

I should probably write ahead a little bit, because I'm guessing I will have no concentration span whatsoever on Election Night here in the US.
