I am normally not surprised by celebrity divorces, but this one seems somewhat shocking to me. They were together for a total of 41 years.

This is about the only celebrity marriage that has me going
in reaction to this turn of events. Maybe it's because I was a little bitty Southpaw when Taxi and Cheers were on the air so I feel like a part of my innocence has now been smashed to smithereens.

They have separated. Unless one of them wants to marry someone else I don't think they'll rush to divorce - so there is still hope yet.
