Best Bond Song?

Now that Adele's Skyfall has been released, and inspired by a CBC post I saw a week or two ago ... what's your favourite?

For me it's "Goldfinger," followed closely by "Thunderball" and "Nobody Does It Better." But I like Adele's "Skyfall" a lot too -- just haven't heard it enough yet to really say where it ranks.

Haven't heard Skyfall yet but have high hopes, but the song that continues be be in high rotation on my own playlists is Chris Cornell's. It's not on the list, but I also thought Madonna's song was great.

Love, love, love! She's definitely reminiscent of the great Shirley Bassey. Adele is such a great songwriter, but I would love it if she did a standards album one day. Just think of all the songs she could do - it would be epic!

3. All Time High (This wasn't that popular of a song, but I liked it)

I heard SkyFall on my way to work this morning. The first impression was that the song was too slow and there wasn't any immediate hook to the song.

Agree, but at the same time I was mesmerized by the way the music fell and her voice rose up against it. Can't wait to see it with the Bond opening.

Happy International James Bond Day. I've actually got a CD of Bond theme songs in my car right now. Can't vote in the poll for some reason, but my favorite Bond song is probably "Goldeneye"; Tina Turner at her slinkiest. I especially like when the theme songs tie in to the original Bond theme by having
1) at least a sprinkling of brass, and
2) a specific run of four notes (the first four notes of the original theme) subtly hidden in them which subtly says "this is a Bond theme".

Songs that have these things that I can think of off the top of my head:
Goldeneye, Goldfinger, Thunderball, A View to a Kill (the brass is all Nick Rhodes' keyboard and the run of four notes is subtle, but its there). Skyfall has it too.

I think maybe its in there: Live and let Die, The World is Not Enough

Probably not in there: You only live twice, Nobody does it better, Die another day

Madonna's song (Die another day) and Chris Cornell's theme from Casino Royale (You know my name) were both panned by critics, but I kind of like them.

Goldfinger - Shirley Bassey and the wah-wah can't be beat!

In most of the polls, "For Your Eyes Only" doesn't count, as it wasn't an "official" Bond movie. But it's a good song.

I love Adele, but the song isn't that great. Very "Bondy" though.

I heard it on the radio this morning, and I seriously considered posting about it on FB. This is one of the best bond songs I've heard in years. The radio station didn't introducce it, but within three notes I knew it was a) an Adele song and b) the new Bond song.

It was such a great throwback to the truly epic Shirley Bassey songs. I think Adelle really got the sexy feel of the Bond Song.

I like it - it's a great mix of both the old school Bond feel and Adele. It melds nicely together, unlike that last bizarre and cacaphonous Jack White and Alicia Keys collab that everyone in this thread has forgot to mention (and with good reason)

The World Is Not Enough. I absolutely love, love, love that song.

Skyfall is FANTASTIC, though. Adele did a great job, not that I had any doubt she would
