I'm all in. Carrie Underwood can do no wrong in my book. There were some sound issues in the beginning, but that seemed to clear up about 30 minutes in.

It's like a wreck you can't turn away from if you ask me. Aside from Audra McDonald it's pretty awful.
I meant to take the high road.... but I missed the exit.

i think they could have found a slinkier baroness. and how do you wrangle up so many children who are the opposite of endearing? but i cant complain about the singing and they didnt hire carrie for her acting resume.

i could see falling for christopher plummer even if he had 25 children. but vampire dad just looks rage strokey.

It's okay. Nothing tops the original!! I remember being about 7 years old, in my PJs and fuzzy slippers with my sibs. Sitting watching with popcorn. It was a huge event in my house

Carrie Underwood is trying hard, and they obviously worked with her, but she's a terrible actress, the poor dear. The singing is good, though. The sets are absolutely fabulous. They're all built, side by side, and the actors walk from one to the other. It's in a huge building (formerly aerospace, where they built the Apollo moon lander) on Long Island. The orchestra is recorded (due to sound issues), but the singing is live.

My husband just got home from his job running the theater at a local college, where he is the technical director, and now he's engrossed, not in the acting or singing, but in the set changes. When they went from the house and walked through to the stage for the Salzberg Festival (forgive spelling), he muttered, "Could never do that in the theater." I believe he is jealous of the sound stage.

If you can over look her terrible breathing in the middle of phrases in songs and the splashy "ssssssssssssss" on every "s" and "t" in the score.

Carrie isn't a very good actor but I think she's great on the songs and her acting has improved during the show. Personally, I think she's really outshining Stephen Moyer. He's pretty crappy.
