“In the hour of adversity, be not without hope; for crystal rain falls from black clouds.”.
I enjoyed the twinnies when they were laughing at themselves and snarking on the tasks, but their behavior when they and Texas took the hippie's money turned me off.
I was definitely pulling for a Chippendales win but was thrilled for the Goats. Although the Goats sucked at the athletic challenges, they totally rocked the intellectual challenges and really did quite well on the non-athletic physical challenges.
This finale was high up in terms of a fun and satisfying ending. I love how close the race was for most of the episode, I hate it when one team ends up so far out in front they would have to end up in an alternate universe in order to lose.
Would love to see the Chippendales and Twinnies back for an all-star turn.

This^, is why I like them. I love the gingerbread men and women.
Was really hoping for the Chippies to win, but the Goats were my second choice so okay with that. I didn't want the Twinnies or Texas to win simply because of the stealing the money thing. And really by about 8:15p I knew the Goats were going to win. Once they did that little scene on the train where the "cool kids were slamming on the nerds" scenario, I knew that was it and the Goats were going to win. They way they kept editing it, I could just see the Goats winning. But they were my second favorites so I'm sort of happy for the outcome.
That last challenge was brilliant. I never would have thought to make note of that either. I would be writing in my book who was at the mat, what they looked like, what they were wearing, everything little detail of the mat greeting ... but never would have thought to write down what they said, especially since it was just hello and goodbye. I was with Jaymes, just thought they were being cordial.
So note to future races, write down every damn thing that happens. Ever.![]()
What an incredibly awesome and well written post by the Goats! Such cool people, and the gingerbread people were spot on and fantastic. The decorations were so perfect!
I'm even happier today that they won![]()
Q: Why can't I read the competition threads?
A: Competition forums on the board are available to those with a Season Pass or a premium membership How to View Kiss & Cry
Count me in, as well
I'm pretty sure that the prize money for the reality shows (at least the CBS ones -- Survivor, Big Brother, TAR) are all paid in one lump-sum. I know that Sophie who won Survivor: South Pacific had a twitter conversation with another cast member from that season and she said jokingly, "I'm the millionaire between us," and they said, "not exactly, you had to pay a good chuck of that to taxes," and she wittingly said back, "April hasn't come yet
"
I just loved this season, and the finale was awesome!
I liked the twins for a couple of legs. I was annoyed by how LOUD they were, especially as they performed tasks and then at the end when they yelled over and over for the Chips and Lexi/Trey to lose the Goats. That said, they were very funny.
Love the Gingerbreads! Thanks as well for the link.
This. She was a bit of a whine merchant when things didn't go her way.
I thought TWINNIES were hilarious (EVILLE Gays!), the Chippendales HOTT and the Goaties seemed really nice so I was happy with whoever won out of those three.
Kind of sad that only one team knew the UN symbol and that was probably because they live/lived in NYC.
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.
I found it amusing that 2 out of the 3 teams didn't know the UN symbol. I've never been to NYC but even I recognized the symbol. Perhaps it's a sign of my "old" age![]()
Crazy about sports!
Finally watched the finale! I'm happy for the Goats. I've said all along that the Goats and Chips were my favorites. This is the first season in I don't know how long that I've actually liked the winners. In fact, I'm going out on a limb and saying this was my favorite season behind the season that Chip and Kim won, you know, the "my ox is broken" season. I even grew to kind of like the Twinnies, although I'm glad they were eliminated before the final three. Best part of all, God heard my prayers and allowed the Chippendales to stay all the way to the end. Yes, there is a God!
