This is the first season where I am not chomping at the bit waiting for the premier. I am just not at all excited to see them spend another season in the prison. We have already seen that. This show needs to continuously be on the move for me and I don't know why. I get bored when they stay in the same place for too long. We already know what is going to happen. Zombies will try to get in, at some point some will get in and everyone will be scrambling and someone shocking will die. That is a given. At least make it interesting by having it happen suddenly while they are out traveling to find a new place to stay.

The first episode was a little slow but from the ending on up through last Sunday, I think they're doing a good job building the tension.

I think the crazy walker-lover girl is feeding the zombies...any thoughts on that?

Also, I have no idea who is responsible for killing/burning Tyrese's girlfriend and that other guy. This week is going to be INSANE! I watched the promos and a lot of stuff seems to be spiraling out of control. I'm really excited to see what's going to happen.

I believe the girl is feeding the walkers rats too.

As for the body burnings, I'm thinking it's someone on the counsel. Tyrese's sister maybe?

Not sure how the new guy from episode #1 fits in (Bob Stookey - the alcoholic). He could be responsible for one of the above.

There was a hint in the preview that it was Hershel who killed the two sick people.

And there were two girls giving the walkers names, I think? I thought the both of them would be feeding the zombies.

Wow. A lot happened this week.

So Carol is taking up the resident psycho position, huh? That was a bit of a shock, I must say. Carol seems so obsessed with keeping people safe that she's willing to do anything...including murder! I first suspected something was up after Tyrese asked her to check in on Sasha...the way she broke down made me think, "Maybe she did it..." but then I dismissed the idea. Carol? Nah, not sweet motherly Carol. I guess my first inkling was right. She isn't a remorseless killer but she doesn't seem to be too apologetic either. She seemed so cool and calm about it when she admitted it to Rick. Now the question becomes what happens next? Does Rick tell Tyrese? I think not. He and Carol make a run next week so we'll have to see what kind of action (if any) he's going to take. Carol seems to be slipping...hopefully Rick can bring her back.

I liked the whole scene with Rick and Tyrese at the beginning. Tyrese was in a rage but when he hit Rick, Rick tapped into his own rage. Don't forget, not too long ago Rick was the one who was distraught and went on a zombie killing spree to release some of that anger and pain. He'd rehabbed himself for the most part but all of that anger and pain is still very close to the surface and when Tyrese hit, him Rick went off. Tyrese released some of his frustration in an epic zombie killing spree...still not sure how he got out of that.

Poor Glenn and Sasha. I'm sure they'll be okay but it sucks they're all quarantined. Maggie is losing it and Beth is trying very hard to be dead inside and not feel. "Everyone has their job." Hershel's a great man...I'd have rolled the pot of tea in there with some cups and a note that said "Drink Me".

It was nice to see Daryl and Michonne have a moment. I'm think Daryl was missing her b/c with Rick going all "farmer Rick" and Michonne gone, he had to step up and take over. Rick-Daryl-Michonne are like the ultimate walker strike team so going from three to one was probably rough on him. Looks like Michonne is starting to see that she is wanted and needed at the prison. I can't wait to see what happens next week. That was one massive herd...

The season is really good so far. I think everything will be more intense next week b/c Rick/Carol and Daryl/Michonne/the others are all out on the road.

I'm enjoying this season. Carol's character development since season 1 has been my favorite. Timid abused housewife to practical thinking protector.

On "Talking Dead", they mentioned there were 7,000 zombies used in the scene with Daryl, Michonne, Tyrese and Bob in the car.

I could not be in a car with someone like Daryl driving....he never keeps his eyes on the road.

I wonder if the 7,000 zombie herd is headed toward the prison....and if they are being herded by the governor.

I agree about Carol. Like Chris Hardwick said on Talking Dead, she's operating on 100% logic right now which is good b/c they do need that, but bad b/c a lot of the time logic has to operate independently of emotion or morals (see any sci-fi movie where computers take over and humans end up being killed for "their own good").

Yeah I was screaming "Watch the road Daryl!" while they were driving. Lest we forget what happened the last time someone wasn't paying attention while driving...oh Lori.

That was one of maybe two good points Marilyn Manson made on Talking Dead (OMG. Worst. Guest. EVER.). It could be the Governor herding all of them towards the prison...after his last walker-gram (remember the truck and all of the zombies he let loose at the prison?) that very well could be him delivering a super-ultra-mega walker-gram.

Some people wonder if Carol is covering for someone. A lot of people think the kids killed and burned the bodies, what if that is still true and Carol doesn't want them to get in trouble (and wants to protect herself since she apparently taught them how to kill)? The only problem with this theory is that Lizzie is one of the few featured kids and her killing people makes no sense. It is almost surely Lizzie that was feeding the zombies and we know she was naming them. She clearly has a huge heart so I don't see her killing anyone, even a zombie! I originally said that I think Carol AND the kids killed as a lesson and I stick to that, I just don't think Lizzie took part.

Hmmm personally I'm just not feeling this season. I have a huge problem with the newer characters who just are not developed enough and if they died I really wouldn't care. Darryls seemingly about turn of character away from that gritty side is just weird. But of course I'll continue watching. It is really good that we're just over 30 hours behind the US.

Yes - so it is good they are killing some of those characters off.

And I have no problem believing Carol killed and burned those two. And, that she felt justified in doing so because she wanted to prevent the illness from spreading.

My sister posed this logic: who in the prison had the physical strength to overpower and drag two fully-grown adults all the way down the hall and into the courtyard? The kids are really small and physically weak, so I just don't see that happening. I went back and watched the part where Rick is examining the courtyard. When he looks at the door with the blood smear on it he's comparing the size of the hand print to his. The blood smear is clearly someone's palm and is smaller than his...but not small enough to be a child's.

I don't think Carol would have given the girls a practical killing lesson...not like that. Knowing that the girls couldn't stand watching someone get stabbed I don't think they'd have stomached murdering/dragging/burning bodies.

Agreed. Better the Woodbury expendables than the original gang.

ITA about Carol too. That explains why she was so upset: she murdered two people to stop the disease from spreading but it was all for nothing b/c half the prison got sick anyway...

    ging/burning bodies.
Both people were sick, possibly near death, and substantially weakened. And Carol has developed a lot of physical strength since being a timid and abused women. Neither she nor Michonne are big women - both have slender builds - but both those two can rather can pack a punch.

I don't think anyone had to be over-powered. They were very ill and we know this illness can go from making a person feel sick to killing them in a matter of 12 hours or so. The people in there were already sick so depending on the timing, they could have already been dead. If Carol and/or the kids did it as practice, they may have waited for them to die and then stabbed them or did something to their heads to make sure they didn't come back as zombies (or maybe they already were zombies). Even if they weren't dead, they would be so weak and could hardly put up a fight, even against children, I bet.

    I'm annoyed at Rick's hypocrisy.
