"The Walking Dead": Any fans here?

I agree about Michonne being quite dreadful. Isn't she new to acting? She is just way too harsh. I think she is being directed this way, though. She just doesn't have the talent to pull it off.

Michonne is a very intense, brooding character in the comics as well. I'm not a good judge of acting, but I think she stays true to the character (except her flimsy swordsmanship). I guess since they haven't elaborated on her background, people might not get why she's paranoid and mentally unstable by the time she encounters other survivors.

Yes, my immediate thought was she should have taken the abortion pills.

But it is important to consider that a baby gives people reason to hope that life will go on - something to live for. This was seen right after the Holocaust, when people got married in the displacement camps despite being sick and hungry, and babies came soon after.

I would also think that it would make sense from an instinctual perspective. You want your DNA to have as much of a chance as possible to continue on and in a world where you don't know how many people are still alive, you have to think about repopulating the earth.

Did I miss something? Is Carol really dead? They didn't show her being attacked, killed or anyone from the group finding her body. But they had a grave for her. I'm confused.

She better still be alive. Her character's death deserves better than that.

Ewww. Were we to assume that fat zombie Rick found in the boiler room ate Lori's remains? It seemed to indicate that strongly, with the strands of hair on its mouth.

Then again, it seems phsyically impossible for one walker to eat an entire human. Even two walkers didn't finish off T-Dawg. Plus, where are Lori's bones? Zombies can't chew bones.

Something isn't adding up.

I think it's a given Carol is still alive, but there is strong speculation on the net that Lori is still alive as well. Many are theorizing that Carl didn't shoot Lori after all (hence Rick finding the blunted bullet) and that Carol found Lori and managed to save her somehow, and they're both off hiding somewhere.

But that scenerio seems even more far-fetched. How could Lori survive with so much blood loss? And even if Carol did come upon Lori, it's not like she has any tools to sew her back up and nurse her back to health.

I personally hope they are both alive. I was actually starting to like both characters. I don't know how Lori could have survived though and Carl was too thunderstruck when they got out of the building to assume he didn't shoot his mom.

The fact that Sarah Wayne Callies' name was still in the beginning credits leads me to believe Lori's still alive. If she was dead and gone forever, I'd think her name would be removed. I don't think that that walker Rick found ate her, but I'm not sure what really happened to her. Carol finding her and maybe moving her someplace more safe is possible; Carol hasn't reappeared anywhere so if she is helping Lori it would make sense why she hasn't gone back to the group yet.

And of course, it would be impossible for ONE zombie to eat entirely the remains of Lori, where are the bones? a couple of them didnt eat T- Bone and the guy was huge so...

The director of the episode was on and he talked about how you could see blood from where Lori died and how the stain of her blood was left on the ground where the walker dragged her to get eaten in peace (or so he thought). The director also mentioned Lori's hair being on the walker's face and how this walker was bloated and could not move after eating a whole human. I think Carol was mentioned as well, no concrete info, but the fact that we did not see her killed and have not seen a zombie vesion of her bodes well for her. What surprises me is that Rick went back into the prison after a dead wife, but nobody went back into the prison to look for a possibly-still-alive Carol??

I don't get the fact Rick went after Lori either and there was no search for Carol. I mean Carol at least has a shot at being alive.

I thought that what Rick found was Lori's wedding ring. She's definitely dead. (I will quibble a bit about the nature of her death....1. If it's a choice between baby's life vs mom's life, in a zombie apocalypse you save the one who can handle a gun and knows when to be quiet, and....2. Lori should have had a bit more time; would her labor have been that fast and would she have died that quickly from the emergency caesarian? She might have been able to hold on until they could get Hershel there)

Carol, on the other hand, I'm guessing is still alive, holed up or trapped somewhere in the prison, and might be making frantic phone calls to any extension she can reach. (Or maybe the phone ringing is a figment of Rick's crazed imagination)

I also think Lori is alive. I wanted her dead so bad but now I want her alive again, lol! I bet Carl went to shoot her and couldn't do it so he just shot at the ground. The zombie could not have eaten Lori's entire body, bones and all. That just would not work. I love the theory that Carol found her and saved her. Remember, Carol was practicing on the zombies so I bet she got practice sewing them up as well. Of course, Lori was cut open savagely so I am not sure how she would recover from that (even if she lived, there would be tons of implications I am sure) but I think that is something the viewers could look past.

ETA: I now see the mention of the Talking Dead. I am sorry but trying to convince me that a zombie ate every last bit of Lori's body is just ridiculous. Bones and all? That was a HORRIBLE choice on the writers or directors part. An entire human can not fit in that zombies stomach. He wasn't even THAT bloated.

I know Kirkland is changing up things from the books, but Lori is gone.

And she'd have likely died during childbirth if she needed a c-section so it was a moot point.
They've really changed up things with Michonne and the governor so no idea what's happening there.
