About a dozen of us in NYC had a great "Not Going to Worlds" get-together back in March. We'd like to get something organized for SA - the more, the merrier! If you are interested, please post in the SA forum.![]()

Bumping this to say the thread in the SA forum is closed, so post here. If I can find a decent hotel rate, hubby & I might be there.
Posted in the closed thread the other day, but I'm totally in! Loved the place we were at last time too!
We need our contact person for Mr. Dennehy's. Where are you, JeffClair????
For those who didn't attend our worlds party, we had our gathering here:

We ate brunch upstairs (the food is very nice, btw) and then retired to the private room downstairs.
The more the merrier, so please post if you'd like to join us.
What day and time is the get together?
Today is Doomsday. Alternate side of the street parking will be in effect.
I guess it depends on the TV schedule. Where are you, JeffClair?
I'd like to join. I can do NYC as a day trip or stay with relatives in Jersey.
I'd love to meet up!
I'm Here! I'm Here! Wow, can't a guy take a vacation!
We'd have to see the TV schedule.
Looks like Sunday, October 21 from 4-6 is live on NBC. If Mr. Dennehey's downstairs room isn't available, I may see if our Media Room in my building is. It's a movie sized screen with nice stadium seating. Who wouldn't love to see 6' tall skating right in front of them
Looks like we have 5-6 so far? I think we may need more!! Everyone recruit one more person and I think we can do it!

I'm sure my husband would *like* to come, but that would entail us bring our eight year old daughter, who would spend much of the event performing made up skating routines to the skaters' music while blocking the screen. So perhaps not.![]()

Hey all - sorry I'm late to the party but if anyone is planning a meet-up I'd love to join. Thanks!
Can we book the room at Mr Dennehy's? We can nag more people into joining us. And you can tell them we will order lots of drinks.![]()
Yes to the ordering of drinks.

And desserts, too.![]()
Well, there doesn't seem to be enough interest to warrant a full room to ourselves... BUT... We can still get together at Mr. Dennehy's and have lunch and watch. We may not get sound, but lately, what does the music playing in the background mean to the scores anyways!I'm evil, I know. Perhaps if we get there and the room is empty, we can still go downstairs, but I would need probably 10+ people to feel right about even requesting it. That being said, who still wants to get together? Luckily, a Saturday (or is it a Sunday? I'm so out of tune these days...) at 4:00 PM isn't exactly the most "hoppin" hour at the bars... we may get lucky!
Any thoughts?

according to Figure Skating on TV- NBC coverage is Sunday.
I'm still in! (I don't have any NYC skating-fan friends, I'm afraid, so it's just me.)
I'm in, too. Definitely will do lunch/brunch upstairs even if we can't get the room. But I'll bring the banner again just in case. And, I have made up some new Skate-Libs for the occasion.![]()
Super! Brunch at 2, skating at 4 on Sunday then! Mr. Dennehys on Carmine st it is!

I'm a little confused. Are you sure we will be able to watch skating in a restaurant/bar with baseball and football season both going on?
2PM seems more like Dunch or Linner to me![]()
I'm in.
