I strongly suspect that Master Leininger's past life and his parents' belief in it are both fictions.

    Nay.
Nay. , , , or something equally dismissive.

According to ancient wisdom: Thesis and anti-thesis are identical in nature, but different in degree"; "opposites are the same, differing only in degree"; "the pairs of opposites may be reconciled"; "extremes meet"; "everything is and isn't, at the same time"; "all truths are but half-truths"; "every truth is half-false"; "there are two sides to everything," The Kybalion

In regards to reincarnation, ... there are many things unexplained about our existence in this 3-dimensional world; there are charlatans and there are wise seekers after truth who offer wisdom that is hiding in plain sight ... I don't profess to know, so I say neither yay nor nay, but I'm open to reading the book about James Leininger and expanding my knowledge and awareness.

^ I'd say cool, innovative, accomplished, notable, based on the Wiki photos of buildings and interiors by Mackintosh. However, I'm not an expert on either Charles Rennie Mackintosh, interior design, architecture or furniture design. According to the information in your link, the "barbarism posing as hyper-sophistication" quote by Robert Grant is specifically in reference to a chair designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and not necessarily a critique of Mackintosh's oeuvre.
