    I'm sorry.

    Oui.

true, false, or l'indifference violet: Alun Armstrong and Jenny Galloway are the best Thénardiers.

Is it funny that Helena Bonham Carter (who looks like Sasha Cohen) is cast with Sascha Baron Cohen as the Thénardiers?

    Yes.

    As I go on pretending it's 1997:

Helena Bonham Carter once remarked in an interview that she was “punished” for her background - she is the great-granddaughter of Herbert Asquith, the Liberal prime minister - and could not get certain roles because she was not “trendily working class”.

Famously, it prompted fellow actress Kathy Burke to write an open letter to Time Out which read: “As a life long member of the non-pretty working classes, I would like to say to Helena Bonham Carter (wholly pledged member of the very pretty upper-middle classes): shut up you stupid c---.”
    Team Burke
Team Bonham Carter (something about misunderstood irony)

Team Somebody's too lazy to find the original Time Out interview in question, to say nothing of the most famous letter in reply

I haven't seen any of them. My guess is that she was most impressive in The King's Speech. Does saying that I liked her performance in Howards End count for anything?

    Same question...

Angela Merkel, though it would be interesting to bring Indira Gandhi back from the dead.
